I didn't even bother to take a picture of our coffee and food because of how bad it was. I was under the impression that they would have somewhat decent coffee and for based on the reviews but boy was I wrong. I ordered oat latte and Pasta Rossa, my friends had Panoni Classico, Tre Latte and Cappucino if I remember correctly. For the coffee, I don't understand how it could be that bad. My friend and I have this wanting to puke it out feeling when we've finished ours. The Pasta and Panini both are just microwaved low quality and disgusting "meal". The pasta lack of any seasoning while the panini tasted like salt, literally just salt 🙄 Even some convenience store have more decent food than what we've ordered and these are not cheap either! My order since just microwaved and on a paper box was hot. I was then given a tray to put it on. I think the store don't have a budget on those? Because the one they gave me was so filthy! On the other hand, the store looks nice, just don't expect anything beyond that.

Is it just me cause I don't get the hype? 😔 They were out of Pocofino Latte so went with the iced Latte (it was only 10am) I didn't get to finish it cause I didn't think it was anything special? A bit watery maybe the ratio of the shot to the milk/ice was off My partner got the iced americano and he also said it wasn't that great, his words not mine 😅 I mean it okay but just not amazing For food I ordered the pesto panini. It was too sweet for me so very different from maybe something like the one in Starbucks. I also didn't finish it cause it was underwhelming 😔 (see photo) Their chocolate pana cotta was also bleh. Really wanted to love this! But I just "like" it. I promise to update the review once I try them again when they have their specialty coffee. Atmosphere is very instagrammable though! Space is a bit tight but probably cause its their early days and quite a lot of people there. Dogs are allowed yey!

Tl;dr (more notes below) no wifi (bring hotspot if working remotely here) ** lots of plug

  • good for hanging out but hard to take virtual meetings bc loud music and loud chitchat (see time stamp below) ** burnt-tasting coffee/espressos. Opt for lattes or chocolate based drinks

Notes if you plan to do some work here (as a remote worker): No wifi, bring your own hot-spot

There are three-prong plugs in most places.

There are both high tables and low tables. I sat on the high-table/stool and was able to stand/sit while working which was nice.

-They play music kinda loudly (compare to other cafes). I was here at 12-4am on August 14, 2024, and it was kind of clubby in the loudness of music.

Lots of young people/groups of them hang out here late at night. It was really loud here from 12pm - 2am. Then it quieted down a bit after that. Not sure what they are like in the afternoon I have a over the ear headphones and a good noise cancelling microphone that allowed me to take one call

Notes on food Their chocolate-based drinks and lattes were pleasant enough. Mocha was smooth. Their americano / espressos however tastes burnt (to my pallette). It was probably because the temperature of the water is...

Comfortable spot undermined by basic service gap.

Pocofino has the bones of a good cafe - comfortable retro ambience and efficient staff. The space feels relaxed and the service runs smoothly.

However, for ₱620 (two coffees + cake slice), not offering WiFi is baffling. When I asked, staff simply said “sorry, we don’t have it” with no alternatives or explanation. This is 2025 - WiFi in cafes is ubiquitous, and many people expect to work for an hour or so while enjoying their coffee.

The impact was obvious: mostly empty seating on a Sunday afternoon, despite this place having real potential as a third space for people to socialize and get out of the house. The menu is limited, which could work if execution was flawless, but missing such a fundamental amenity shows they’re out of touch with how people actually use cafes today. And here’s the thing: if a person is offered WiFi and doing work, a customer will probably stick around a bit longer and the longer a customer is in a business, the more likely they will buy something else, adding to the bottom line.

BGC has plenty of options that understand modern cafe culture - Pocofino isn’t...
