We dine in here last Nov 14 for dinner between 730-930pm. We enjoyed their unlimited Mojito promo. Worth having it.Ambiance is busy and lively. Enjoyed watching the staff with their quick dance performance in between of their busy work.
However, the free nachos was not given right away we only had it on half of our main course just because my friend asked 1 server "is that nacho nice?" Then the server quickly took one & served it to us. Me with my friend and the server suddenly laughed about it (we didn't know it's free as we are actually working in Singapore for more than a decade now).
We requested our Boneless Buffalo Bites to serve on a later part, we wanna have it as our finger food while drinking. But we end up getting full easily. Before leaving the store we requested to take away our 3 leftover foods.Mac &Cheese Bites, Fish & Chips and the Boneless Buffalo Bites (which we only ate 3-4pcs of it). As mentioned we are already full.
On our way to our Hotel we bought a bottle of wine thinking that since we still have our Boneless Buffalo Bites, it will be good to munch it with a wine.
To our surprise upon reaching our room, yes we have 3 takeaway boxes but no Boneless Buffalo Bites which we are actually looking forward to. Only to find out, we have total of 3 takeaway boxes but 1 of it is just the rice which they separated from the fish and chips which made them 3 takeaway boxes.
It was sad that we end up drinking our bottle of wine without our Boneless Buffalo Bites. We felt like we paid for it but we didn't really get to enjoy it and the fact that we bought a bottle of wine just because we still have something to munch.
I guess the server who passed it to us thought that since there's 3 takeaway boxes on it ,it's already complete. Sure she doesn't know that the rice was separated from the fish & chips. It could be avoided if it was highlighted to her from the kitchen staff who packed it that it should be total of 4 takeaway boxes or atleast put them all together on 1 side atleast the server will easily identify which one she needed to pack and it can be completely passed to the customer accordingly.
It was supposedly a good night for us but we end it as a sad one for not having what we actually looked forward. We are only staying for a night around BGC just to explore again Highstreet. So yeah, it made us a little sad as it was almost a perfect one. The fact that it took us a couple of yrs & yrs to come back since the last time we dine in here & visit BGC was before pandemic time.
Hoping that other customers won't experience this specially for those OFW's who get that rare chance to visit and explore BGC.
Kudos to the server who gave us that free nachos immediately, we did not really expect that there's a nachos on...
Read moreThis review is specifically for TGIF Bonifacio High Street branch. Apologies as I was not able to take any photos. Anyway, long post ahead:
We decided to dine here during my birthday because I was craving ribs. A waitress approached us and I asked if they serve anything special since it was my birthday and told me I get a free vanilla ice cream, which I am happy with seeing they provide bday celebrants with something. I have no issues with the food except they now serve the barbecue sauce in a tiny container instead of giving us a whole bottle of it.
I find it intimidating to ask something from the waiters/waitresses since they looked stressed/irritated when approaching us and asking what we want. They are not attentive or do not have the initiative to go near us as I always find myself raising my hand because they lacked utensils when they served our food, however, I just see most of them talking with each other or texting. I’m not saying they shouldn’t do these things, but at least have the courtesy and professionalism to tend to the customers, especially during their work hours.
I asked for a refill for my bottomless iced tea and it takes a lot of hand-raising from me just to get noticed. If they do not want to keep coming back to serve iced tea then just leave the whole pitcher on our table. One waitress also filled my glass half full because the pitcher was empty and told us to wait, but she did not return any more. Just don’t serve bottomless iced tea if your servers get hassled going back and forth refilling glasses for customers.
We finished dining and we were just waiting for my free vanilla ice cream only to know that the first waiter I told about this didn’t seem to let the kitchen know, so I had to ask again.
Finally, everything is served, another waiter apologized since she said she noticed we aren’t getting proper service. I told her everything about our concern and she made sure to let their management know. Kudos to you, you’re the only one who approached us with actual care for us.
Please improve your staff TGIF High Street, specifically the waiters. They do not have enough empathy or courtesy to customers. Maybe hire more of them or...
Read moreRecently we visited Fridays and there are a few changes and feedback I’d like to share:
-The menu changed visually and some new content were added.
So one thing that I noticed is they made an effort to make it shorter or more compact.
It was good, because you don’t need to flip too many pages…
The only issue is, the description of the group or bundled meals has a fairly small font. Even with glasses on, I had to zoom and focus on the details.
-The new set of group or bundled meals sounds appealing at first, but is not necessarily a favorable combination of food (for us).
The range is pretty much 2k something up.
We figured out ordering the food and drinks that we want + bistro card perk is more than enough.
-My favorite solo salmon meal is gone and saw an option to get one but it’s cooked with whiskey (as I recall) and it’s not affordable at all.
-Ordered Cajun shrimp solo size instead and as you can see in the picture below, there are limited number of shrimps in the dish.
Also had to add lots of Parmesan to give it personality.
-The oriental salad and mango tango were fantastic!
-They did not check in advance which burger is medium well and which is well done so they had to validate it.
-They were pretty slow in giving the bill.
But to be fair, whenever the servers are busy, the supervisors or managers would come to the rescue and that’s a great thing.
Sent them feedback shortly after the meal via QR code and I’ll now have to figure out a new main course.
Original Post:
We used to eat by Fridays for family day/New Year/other occasions that’s why we availed of the BFF card.
We don’t know what is happening to Fridays but we had an awful experience.
Waiting time to get seated -way slower than before.
Seafood Platter & fish from the fish and chips -not as fresh as before, the value for money is not worth it at this point.
Replenishment of one tartar sauce and ketchup that makes the taste a little better- took 4 people to be advised and several mins later, had to call the manager to receive one.
The overall experience is awful. We shared our experience via feedback QR of Fridays to be fair, but I...
