The Kitchen by The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf — Restaurant in Taguig

Very disappointing service. My partner and I purchased a couple of takeaway coffees about an hour early from another cafe and just walked around BGC.

After meeting a friend we decided we were hungry and wanted to grab some food from Coffee Bean. The 3 of us sat down at a table ready to order food and additional drinks, we still had a little left in our takeaway coffee cups from an hour earlier.

On bringing out menus the server refused to serve us and told us that we couldn't have our coffees there, even though we were going to spend well more than the price of the 2 coffees on food and other drinks. We were then told we could stay but we'd be charged a 1000 peso corkage fee.

I understand having a policy so people don't just sit there and drink and/or eat food purchased from another place but to be so strict on your policy that you turn away paying customer because they had a little left in their cups or charge them "corkage" fee to stay is ridiculous.

We went to fat seed around the corner and they were happy to take us, their food and drinks are far better anyway. I can guarantee after this service I'll never head back to a...

This is, in my opinion, a top notch steak for the price point. You get a quality steak, portion and taste wise, that awesome potato basket and a bowl of rice. Full disclosure I don't like beans, so I wasn't a big fan of the rice because the beanies permeated throughout but I did appreciate the value it brought to the set as a creative carb.

Cold brew was a little burnt for me rather than the typically natural sweetness and fermented flavors I usually get from cold brew, I wouldn't be surprised I'd I'd been given an iced Americano by mistake.

Dined at this place twice. The person who took our orders in both instances always got our orders wrong because he never wrote them down. It’s like ordering a burger and getting fried chicken instead. Out of frustration, I complained and asked for the manager because it has already happened twice in separate occasions. Turns out, the person who took our orders and never bothered to write them down happens to be the manager! How can you get the simple things right when the person who should run the place can’t manage properly? Please get it...
