Apparently this is a chain restaurant here in The Philippines. I had not heard of it prior to coming across this branch in Vigan, just as I had not heard of Vigan Bagnet before ordering it. More about that in a sec. Firstly to the staff: wow. Just excellent. Well recruited, and well trained. So impressive. Now to the food. Having stated up front my lack of knowledge of local regional cuisine, and having arrived in Vigan less than 15 minutes prior to stepping foot in this resto, I decided to order off a sheet titled “Vigan Branch Specials”. To my eye, the picture for the Vigan Bagnet was roasted pork belly. But I now know that it is double cooked deep-fried pork. Anyway, check out the pics to see what was on the menu, and what I received. A far cry. In any case, these are plates to be shared, not for one idiot to order for himself. The dinoydoy was quite tasty, to be fair. So in short, did not rate the food but the staff are amazing.

I was here on the 21st of July, everything was like I went back to the olden time-where only the calezas and or horses where the means of transpo. So clean and busy streets are full of life and vibrant hues are everywhere, but no matter how heavy the traffic is, cars and other vehicles always make way for the Caleza- which shows how well-preserved this custom is. Several days after I was here, Vigan was struck by an earthquake. Some old houses and relics were not spared. Hope everyone is fine and safe, hopefully everything will be restored to its former glory. Praying for everyone! Keep safe.

This Maxs Restaurant is located at the entrance of Calle Crisologo it was next to the statue of Leona and in front of Cafe Leona. It has a big space able to cater to more than 100 customers. Price: very affordable(for some) Sample: Group of 9 (expect to have 3k meals) complete with rice, 4-5 dishes and Halo Halo. Place: 10/10 Crew/Staff: All accomodating 10/10

It was crowded because it was around lunch time when we arrived. Im not gonna complain about that. Its their service that sucks like big time. And I wasnt the only one whos complaining, even the group of tourists on the other table thinks that way. They got our order and gave us an estimated time to wait, I saw them serving orders from two other group of guest who arrived at their restaurant like 20mins after we arrived. We waited for like an hour just to get that Sisig full of mayo, they shouldve called it mayo with sisig toppings 😂 and an incomplete chicken meal. I asked different servers for a service water but the service water never came so my sister had to go outside to buy a bottled water. We ordered dessert together with our first meal which was their shakes, we had to wait another 45 mins for them to serve It. Imagine my dismay to this experience, ive been dining with Maxs like multiple times on their different branches around NCR and I never experience such. I hope this gets escalated to the management. You guys should provide an exemplary customer experience , not only because your branch is located in one of the famous tourist spots in Vigan but because youve been in the food industry far enough than the other restaurants around to tarnish the name of such place who is already a big part of most...

Worst meal and worst overall dining experience. Sizzling shrimps arrived half raw and transparent, with a half raw egg. Asked to cook it longer but they must have made a new dish and it came half raw again, the egg almost completely raw despite the sizzling plate. Menu said good for 2 but only 10 small shrimps on the plate. Staff was completely untrained and inattentive, 4 standing around but none paying attention despite almost empty restaurant. The whole restaurant is a disgrace with rotten sofas with big holes and tears wide enough to put your hand in. Buko pandan shake came with gulaman jelly cubes instead of pandan mixed into it. I should not have paid one peso for this...
