Went for saturday breakfast and ordered bagel with beef and omlette with cappucino on oat milk. The restaurant was full, there were 3 persons doing service. One of the waitresses was aggressive just because there was some language misunderstanding in the beginning while we asked if we should sit outside and order or order at cashier then sit down. I was not attentive and didnt notice that there will be ham in omlette as well, when it arrived i asked if there could be chance to replace/change omlette to veg one (tho i know its my inattentiveness ofc) the same waitress said: “Do you wanna see menu again?” Felt like guilty preschool kid in front of strict math teacher while making error in problem :) Should i do so in a cafe with 5 stars - another question :) After a while cappucino arrived with regular milk, they were nice and changes it to oat milk immediately. I hope this all was just one day bad luck with a cafe in our case :) however, if the cafe is fully occupied to avoid wrong orders - maybe one can write down/note orders and be a bit extra kind...
Read moreWent there due to the high rating, but wasn't blown away. The place is very small, so expect a queue at all times. The pros: The coffee was good, we had a latte, flat white and a matcha- matcha was perfect. The food is served REALLY quickly, which is a pro, especially if you're hungry. It's location is perfect, right in the center of the old town.
The cons: The prices aren't small. But the biggest letdown was the food. Maybe it just wasn't to my taste, but it was plain and the flavors weren't combined well. We had a beef bagel and a salmon bagel. The salmon was overcomplicated, and the cream cheese wasn't to our liking. The beef bagel was just... Weird. Maybe someone with a very delicate palate would appreciate it, but for me it was unseasoned long cooked beef (like from a soup base), some veggies and a sweet dressing. I really wish it was more flavorful, maybe even a bit spicy? If you wanna go the sweet route, why not choose bbq for the pulled beef?
Overall it was ok, but I won't choose...
Read moreWe had breakfast here this morning. The food was delicious, but the service was poor.
My sister asked for her water flask to be filled up with cold water politely and repeated herself as requested by the staff member at the end. The person came back with the flask and when my sister took a big drink through the straw, she was hit with a very scary shock - it was BOILING water, not cold! The person stood there and saw it happen, took our payment and walked away. My sister was shaken and in shock, I then went to the desk and spoke with the person and she told me that my sister requested hot water - this defiantly was not the case, as she was asked to repeat herself again to make sure. The flask had a straw, so that would indicate a cold drinking flask and not a hot one.
The person did apologise in the end, but this was a dangerous mistake. Thankfully my sister is okay, with minimal injuries, but it could have been...
