Viceversa — Restaurant in Gdansk

Me and my partner came to this Restaurant last year in august 2024 and everything was absolutely amazing a strong 10/10 it made our first anniversary really special the experience was so good we decided to come back to gdansk this year for our second anniversary and taste the amazing food, this time around the food wasn’t as good as the first time we ordered the fig bruschetta to start off with and the bread didn’t take fresh and it was dry but the pasta I ordered was amazing and my partner ordered the lasagne which was so good, the drinks where really good but my partner ordered peroni and it said it didn’t taste like it and was really hard to drink ,just like last time the vibe and atmosphere was amazing just like last year, our server Monika was really friendly and lovely but one thing I found weird was that when she look our payment she didn’t bring back any change and put the change in her pocket, and after we paid for everything I ordered one last cocktail before leaving and we again paid in cash before leaving and she also didn’t bring back any change and just put the money in her pocket I don’t know if this is a new policy to keep leftover money because that certainly did not happen last year (we where going to leave her a tip anyway) we just didn’t expect her to keep all the change to herself both times. Solid Italian restaurant with great location facing the river and with a great view of gorgeous old buildings on the other side. Also the interior is stunning, rather dark, beautifully arranged by someone with an excellent taste. I love the cyan coloured tiles around the bar especially. There were 2 members of staff, we were lucky to be waited by the nice one but the other one was less congenial. We ordered starters and mains - carpaccio, salad, fritto miso and pork roulades. My salad was absolutely delicious but the main was rather small and the prawns were a bit on the dry side. Carpaccio was generous and ok and so were the roulades. We had a glass of wine each and were a tat disappointed. It was just ok. We didn't try their desserts as we were full. READ THEIR REVIEWS FIRST! And decide whether they are written by real people and coincidentally most of them are written by customers of Spanish origin with similar names and just 1 or 2 reviews...

This Italian restaurant truly lives up to the hype! The food was absolutely divine, almost as if Nonna herself was in the kitchen. I indulged in the truffle pasta, and let me tell you, the truffle aroma was so potent it practically whispered sweet nothings in my ear. My teenage kids, usually picky eaters, were surprisingly enthusiastic about the menu and the lively atmosphere.

But the real star of the show? Magda, our server. She was an absolute gem – friendly, attentive, and always with a smile that could melt even the grumpiest of customers. My kids, in their own words, declared her "the best server ever!" To be honest, if it weren't for Magda's exceptional service, I might have docked a star. Okay, maybe not a whole star, but definitely a half.

Bottom line: The food is fantastic, the ambiance is charming, and the service is top-notch. Highly recommend!
