Chose to ate at this restaurant as I wanted a change from Polish food. The prices seemed very reasonable: 25zl for most chicken main courses with rice and salad. A sign says the prices will be increasing on 1st July. The menu is only in Polish, but easily translatable with Google Translate.
When I paid, the card machine said 25.00zl on the screen so I tapped my card. I was given the till receipt for 25.00zl, but not the card receipt. I got a notification on my phone that I had been charged in a different currency and the amount was higher than expected. I went to the counter and found my card receipt on the counter. It showed the restaurant had converted the payment to pounds sterling, with a 10.5% surcharge and the receipt claimed I had made the choice. I did not make a choice, the owner chose it for me. I queried this and was told there was nothing they could do, as that's what the machine does (which is a lie, since the receipt clearly says a choice was offered). Therefore I overpaid by 10.5%, which is an absolutely ridiculous amount to charge for currency conversion (my credit card, by contrast, does not charge anything for this service).
I ordered pork in spicy sauce. The food was prepared quickly, but the taste was extremely unpleasant, having a very overpowering flavour of salt. There was little other flavour than salt. My mouth was dry for hours after eating this, because of the salt.
The sauce was very watery, like ramen. Some of the vegetables (e.g. the broccoli) were almost raw and not cooked at all. I guess both of these are personal preference.
I would not go back to this restaurant for these reasons: overcharged when paying with a foreign credit card, unwillingness to correct this (e.g. by refunding and charging the card correctly) and the food being far too salty.
Edited to add a response to the owner's response: As you can see from from words above, I wanted something different to Polish food, hence why I ate at your restaurant. Maybe you missed the part where I said "prices seemed very reasonable"? You are incorrect. The DCC is from the restaurant's bank, not my bank. This is confirmed as it is printed on the receipt from their machine. If my bank were charging a fee, it would not appear on the receipt from their machine and my bank statement would show the amount in PLN (which it doesn't). My credit charges zero fee abroad, and I travel overseas nearly every month without any fees being charged. Your service sucked when I was in the restaurant. You point blank refused to acknowledge the issue with the payment, despite my very polite request to refund and recharge the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting this Vietnamese restaurant and trying their Pho Bo (zupa wołowina), and I must say, it was an incredible experience! I can confidently say that this Pho Bo is so delicious that you can eat it every day without getting tired of it. Others also amazing but I like pho the best. First and foremost, the taste is outstanding. The broth is rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The beef slices were tender and cooked to perfection, and the noodles had a wonderful texture. Every spoonful was a burst of savory goodness that left me wanting more. One of the best things about this place is the affordability. Despite the fantastic quality and generous portion size, the prices are incredibly reasonable. You get a hearty bowl of Pho Bo that will satisfy your hunger without burning a hole in your wallet. The staff at this restaurant deserves special mention. They are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist. They take pride in their food and are happy to answer any questions or offer recommendations. Their warmth and helpfulness truly enhance the dining experience. I highly recommend trying the Pho Bo at this restaurant. Whether you're a fan of Vietnamese cuisine or trying it for the first time, you won't be disappointed. The delicious taste, affordability, ample portion size, and the exceptional service make it a standout place to satisfy your cravings for authentic Pho Bo. Trust me, you'll be planning your next visit before you even...
Read moreDraudzeņu ceļojuma pēdējā dienā izlēmām pēdējās ceļojuma vakariņas ieturēt šajā vjetnamiešu restorānā. Gan atsauksmes, gan reitings bija labs.
Jāpiebilst gan, ka gaidot ēdienu, ievērojām, ka cilvēki, kas bija restorānā jau mūsu pirmajā restorāna iegriešanās reizē, apmierināti bauda ēdienu no līdzņemamajiem traukiem, tāpēc mūs sāka mākt aizdomas, ka tikām padzītas no restorāna tīro trauku neesamības dēļ.
Pirmie bija gatavi pad thai.
Vistas pad thai bija tofu gabali.
Nekad. Nekad. Nekad neatgriezīsimies, varbūt tikai citā dzīvē vai citā...
