My Polish friends and I visited it some time ago. We have five people, and there are several partially empty tables. When we asked whether they could queue us up and notify us when a big-enough table becomes ready, they said we had to try to find it ourselves. We started waiting, and then they said we were not allowed to wait inside (it was drizzling a little bit).
After waiting and eyeing we finally managed to grab a table. Then we saw some mainly-Korean groups (also 5-6 people) arrived and started waiting inside, but the same staff didn't say anything, and allowed then to all wait inside until they were seated. The staff was also very aloof to my Polish friends throughout the process.
Food-wise, it was so-so. The dumpling soup was okay (the dumpling only, not the overly salty soup), but other dishes were quite underwhelming, even compared to other Korean restaurants here. The tea tasted like it was completely artificially sweetened, and the milk tea only had sweetness taste.
The restroom also smelled terrible that day - like dried blood and dead animals.
To summarize, the only thing I found okay in this restaurant is the dumpling in the soup, and I feel my local, Polish friends were not treated equally by the staff. I do...
Read moreI went there to dinner with my friend last Saturday and it was the first time either of us ate there. Great impression right away: the interior was cozy, fresh and tidy, the menu was quite short in terms of dishes (usually means that their recipes are foolproof!), the staff was polite. The overall experience was excellent! I'm positive their kimchi was the tastiest I've ever had. And the tteokbokki were to die for! We had the regular ones and black tteokbokki as well. Perfect for a cold winter evening. They offer a large variety of beverages, from teas to alcoholic ones. For those that have a sweet tooth and frequently freezing hands I'd recommend trying their Korean plum tea, it has a delicious, almost floral taste. :^)
I will definitely stop by the next time I'm in Katowice. Might not rest until I've tried all of their...
Read moreI tried their black rabokki, rosé tteokbokki, and a samgak gimbap (Korean triangle rice ball) and everything was delicious!
The black rabokki had a deep, savory flavor with just the right amount of spice(for Koreans). The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the sauce was rich and addictive. The rosé tteokbokki was creamy and comforting, with a nice balance between spicy and mild. And the samgak gimbap was a simple but tasty snack, perfect as a side dish.
I was surprised at how authentic everything tasted. Tastes of all foods here is the same with the original in Korea. I haven't been to Korea in a long time, and I really missed Korean food. Thank you for giving me the chance to enjoy it again. If you're craving Korean food in Poland, I definitely...
