Ok so we visited this on weekday. We loved the horrifying torture devices and learning about them BUT: 1- where are the tortured screams that are mentioned on the website? 2- little bit disappointed with value for money. It's 35pln per person but we were done there in about 35 minutes (not guided tour) Unfortunately the executioner was on break 😕 really wanted photo but didn't want to disturb him. You can interact with EVERYTHING, touch etc. For the visitors - it's still worth visiting and seeing the cruel ways people were tortured. For the owners - please dont take this review too harsh but bringing the price down a little would probably get you more visitors, and we loved visiting your museum just wish there was more ❤️

Chose to go to the museum before leaving Krakow and didn’t regret it. Kamil gave us a tour explaining about every torture tool, it was a pleasure to listen to stories he told because he did it with such passion, it’s incredible to have such great attitude towards work. We had fun looking for rats and skulls in the mean time- great training for attention. Time and money well spent. Executioner was great to attract the attention from the street.

Had a fantastic time here, we were shown around by Alisa who not only spoke fabulous English, but was also very knowledgeable and personable in her guidance. Would highly recommend to anyone in the Krakow area, something a bit different to do and for 70zl (~£14.20 for two people) it’s very affordable and suitable for all ages - the only risqué part is at the very back and that’s minimal.

Muzeum Tortur w Krakowie to niezwykła i zarazem mrożąca krew w żyłach atrakcja historyczna, która przenosi zwiedzających w świat średniowiecznego i nowożytnego wymiaru sprawiedliwości. Wśród nich znajdują się m.in. bocian, osioł hiszpański, łoże sprawiedliwości, garota, maska wstydu, krzesło czarownic, zgniatacz kciuków i głowy, widełki heretyków, klatka egzekucyjna, a nawet osławiona żelazna dziewica. Bogate opisy i filmy edukacyjne: Każdemu eksponatowi towarzyszą szczegółowe opisy, które wyjaśniają jego zastosowanie i kontekst historyczny. Dodatkowo, filmy edukacyjne i audiowizualne materiały pomagają lepiej zrozumieć mroczną przeszłość.

Went past with my partner and was immediately intrigued when we saw the outside. We decided to go in and ask about the prices. Because we are both students we both payed 50PLN or for non students it would've been 70PLN. The guy at the front desk was very nice and explained to us what we can interact with, take photos of and even try on some masks and outfits and mentioned a fun rat hide n seek game. Basically you find 20 rats hidden around the torture museum and you receive a Polish fudge as a prize. This was such a fun experience as not only did we found the exhibitions interesting but also the rat hunt was also very exciting- with the help of staff as they saw we were very stuck! I very much recommend as a little gap activity!...
