Absolutely rude! I've now calmed down enough to read through other similar reviews and gaslighting responses from the management. I used to love this place last year when there was not only the most professional, likeable, tactful and pleasant staff (kudos to the dark long hair lady! You rock!) and also a very good generous food. However, this time it was the WORST experience I have ever had in any restaurant in my life. Upon arriving I stood as informed by the sign to wait for the staff. A blond long hair female staff shouted from a distance that I am welcome to choose a table. There was no other information provided. I approached a table of my choice and sought confimation if that was not reserved by any chance. I was given no response. I left my bag on the table and approached the counter to ask if I order over the counter or at the table and the very lady in the most condesceding way said: 'As I already clearly told you, you need to sit down and I will come'. I felt violated as she did not say it earlier but even if WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK! Who the hell she thinks she is? I sat at the table trying to ignore it and she, while passing by, left the menu on the table and walked away. I seized the opportunity to ask her for Vegan positions in the menu and she looked at me offputtingly and almost angrily and said: "It's on the menu, you can read it yourself", and started walking away. I re-attracted her attention and said that since she is there I would like to ask her and order based on the verbal information provided (in all fairness, not everyone can see well or read well). I felt lots of anger in her and even more patronisingly and almost punitively she started reading out the options at the impossible to comprehend pace. I stopped here and asked her to slow down and repeat. She walked away saying allowed that she had other customers to serve. The whole interaction took under 1 minute.
If the management is going to reply to this review saing that I imagined the situation (as they did with other violated customers), I'm reporting this further. Fire this staff as their attitude is not fit for the service. I will not come again. I can take and understand high pace of work, demanding environment and stress, but this is a different issue. I not only worked in catering but also travelled globally - simply the worst exprience so far. Congratulations on actually going this low - I would have not dreamt of customer 'service' being this inappropriate, power...
Read moreI'll start with the positive - the breakfast was really tasty, filling, and the vegetables were fresh. Now, onto the not-so-good part - I ordered an Americano coffee. The waitress brought me a large coffee, but I wanted a small one. I take responsibility for not specifying 'small,' assuming it would be the default size (as it is in 99% of the places I've been to worldwide). Additionally, the coffee was filled to the brim with water, leaving barely any room for a drop of milk. I mentioned to the waitress that I wanted a small coffee, and she started to argue with me in an unpleasant manner, insisting I didn't order small. Where's the service? Where's a bit of customer courtesy? None of that was present.
I asked her to pour out some of the water from the cup so I could add milk, and I saw her emptying it into the sink and bringing back the still dirty cup. I didn't even drink the coffee and asked again if they could replace it with what I originally ordered. After continuing to argue with me, she finally brought a new cup to the table with a very unpleasant expression, showing no real attempt to satisfy the customer. In addition to all of this, she served the coffee without any extra milk, not making any effort to accommodate.
Furthermore, the coffee was the most bitter coffee I've ever had (both the first and the replacement). It had a burnt taste, a burnt smell, and was revolting and undrinkable. After this experience, I requested the bill, and I asked her to explain a few items on it. She continued to respond rudely. In short, the service was atrocious, unpleasant, unhelpful, and discourteous. No matter how tasty the breakfast may have been, I will never return to this place, and I won't recommend...
Read moreWanted to visit the place for a long time since that’s one of my hobbies to try different breakfasts in Krakow, and I’ve been to many places over the past 2-3 years.
Food - we had scrambled eggs and omelet. Scrambled eggs were not fluffy at all. Omelette tasted like a resin. Really we doubt that there were 3 eggs in both. Also when I looked at the pictures of the same food from others I see that something was added just a little (like green onion on top of omelet, or in the salad there literally was one cherry tomato cut in half). Seems like someone was in a hurry. Nevertheless the baguette was good and overall food wise it was ok.
Service - of the 4 ladies one was great, she greeted us and was nice. Our waitress was okay. Gave me a feeling we are neither welcome nor not welcome. But really I think every waitress needs to smile and say hello. When they come up and just say Mogę? I feel like it’s not a service. Customer service is about humans in the first place.
Price / quality / experience - overall I would recommend the place. For the owners - train the staff better or hire new ones, judging by other comments that’s the biggest problem to fix. And there is at least one nice lady there, so it is doable. For the people who cook - add a little bit of soul to the food, it would taste differently and would automatically result in better reviews. And on the side note my dad doesn’t speak Russian or English, and they gave him the bill and took the money before I came back from the bathroom. Judging by the amount it was more or less what should have been but it’s a service and common sense thing really - if the person doesn’t speak the language, wait for those who do. You are located in the tourist...
