THIS IS CRACOW'S BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT!
I've been living in Cracow for 3 years, and when I visited the restaurant for the first time, it was love at first sight.
The location is excellent with it's location in the heart of the city, and also in one of the most popular streets. The exterior of the restaurant looks small, romantic and cozy, but when you go inside you feel a passion of warmth, welcoming and pleasure. The waiters speaks good english and they are welcoming you with open arms almost. It looks very professional when you can actually see the chef's are making the food right almost right in front of you. From outside it looks like a small restraurant, but when you go inside and downstairs it is huge. It also have a seperate room if you want to arrange f.ex. a dinner party. It is high up to the ceiling, so it feels very spacious. The interior looks fabulous with an italian style over it.
The food is amazing. When I say amazing, I really mean AMAZING. The pizzas made from stone-ovens are in the perfect size with appropriate amount of toppings. I really recommend the parma pizza, which is the number 1 parma pizza in the whole city (I have actually ordered parma pizza at every italian restaurant to check). Also I really like the pizza with truffels. Another favourite is the Frutto Di Mare with black spaghetti, which tastes wonderful. Another important determinant for my review, is that the price is cheap compared with other italian restaurants in the city. The price if the pizzas are between 25 and 35 zl, whereas the pastas are usually below 30 zl each. I always give them tips, because the service from the waiters are excellent. They are not annoying or disturbing in any ways, and they smile and makes you feel welcomed. Even though it is a popular restaurant, it is almost always free tables (but in the weekends I recommend to make a reservation at least 12h in prior the visit.
Today I'm going to Boscaiola Restaurant for the second time this week because it is the BEST ITALIAN...
Read moreOur small group stopped in here last night for supper. The restaurant was close to our hotel and had a great review score, so we decided to try this place out. We were greeted promptly at the front and seated on the main floor near the kitchen area (a bit more quiet than near the main entrance). I will say that if you do a bit of planning ahead, make a reservation for the eating area downstairs - ask for the area immediately to the right of the downstairs landing for the most private area and great atmosphere. Really though, the downstairs eating areas are all nice. Our waiter was great and quickly had our orders in - he also helped out explaining dishes and drink recommendations. Our starters came out quickly, and all delicious. My wife was hesitant to share her Bruschetta hahaha. If there there was a rare complaint, it would be that our mains came out too quickly after the starters were done (???). The waiter asked if this was a problem, but the kitchen did not want to miss the cook time on the duck. We did not mind, and our mains were just as good as the starters. Each couple shared a dessert to finish off a great meal. The only small complaint, a common one in several restaurants in Europe, is that the bill can't be split before paying - in order to ensure that all meals at a table arrive together. As long as you are with friends, no worries. As well, maybe a few minor presentation questions, but the taste was on point - keeping food at 5 (4.5). Overall, it was a great Italian meal in an amazing spot with excellent service. I highly recommend this...
Read morebooked in this restaurant because the other (mamma mia) was full. When we arrived we have been proposed a table near entrance door, after asking a table appeared in the underground floor which is very nice bricks vaulted ceiling and quiet. Why simply not ask which table we wanted? Service was good, the waitress who took care of us was very professional and skilled. Food was also good: eggplant rolls with goat cheese were delicious, warm and balanced Then comes the problem: we ordered pappardelle with veal and saltimbocca alla romana but unfortunately in the pappardelle there was a long human hair. We informed the waitress and she apologized, returning the plate to the kitchen, ordering a new one. When finally the second plate arrived, i was already finished with my dish (my partner only tasted it). To my surprise, besides the double apology from the waitress, the incident went unnoticed, not a discount, not a complimentary dessert, nothing. I understand an incident can happen, but also we had a dinner date ruined not being able to eat at the same time, and from a Restaurant that sells itself as above average in near Rynek i do not really condone it. Bill was...
