Itās so sad sometimes to see such an affordable and cozy place be so empty on a saturday evening.
it definitely deserves more recognition not only from tourists but from locals too! Place itself has a very distinct vibe and unique Vietnamese atmosphere. We visited this place the weekend after Chinese New Year, and place still was beautifully decorated.
Waitresses were very friendly and seemed to genuinely care about our comfort, checking up on us and how we are enjoying the meal. they definitely made us feel welcome and had a nice presence to the restaurant.
Food was delicious at least, I ordered a spicy tom yum. the soup was amazing and served with a side of Sriracha souse so you could decided how hot you wanted it, portion size might be a bit small for some people but if you order some starters for it ( like spring rolls that they have on the menu) - Iām sure youāll be satisfied! I also order coconut juice, well and it was delicious as always. they also had a selection of alcohol, Vietnamese beer, and other juices( exotic like coconut, leeche, mango and basic ones like orange and apple).
this place is really a pearl and i hope it will attract more attention...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited Hugo Asia with a friend, and honestly, it turned out to be a great find. We were looking for a place with good food and a relaxed vibe, and this place delivered.
I ordered the large beef pho, and the broth was flavorful and perfectly balancedārich but not heavy. The beef slices were tender and plenty enough, definitely not just a couple pieces like Iāve sometimes seen elsewhere. My friend had the shrimp pad thai, which was equally tasty, with fresh shrimp and noodles cooked just right. Both dishes looked neat and appetizing when served.
The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Service was quick and thoughtful.
As for price, I felt it was fair given the quality of food, fresh ingredients, and the comfortable...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't understand why it gets such high ratings, which gives me very high expectations. However it turns out to be a very basic place. Portion is very small, and there are only two pieces of meat in the pho. It is a very expensive place for the food you get. Nearly Austria price. The empty plates simply show how small the portion was. The owner is now accusing me of lying about the amount of meat in the soup, which I find very dishonest. I regret not taking a photo before I started eating ā the portion was truly tiny, and there was barely any meat. It seems the owner is oddly proud of that. I have tried at least 20 different Pho places in Europe, this is the only place that bothers me enough to...
