Every city I land in, I purposely seek out a fresh/cold pressed juice spot to get my healthy/tasty drink fix. Raw Nest was my find in Krakow, and overall it doesn't disappoint. I came twice for multiple cold pressed juices that I got to-go, as well as for a sit-down dessert and smoothie. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is the smoothie I ordered arrived warmer than room temperature, which I'm pretty sure wasn't intentional, and just didn't taste pleasant at all. The dessert itself (a piece of matcha lime cheesecake) was above average, and the cold pressed juices (I tried four different ones) were great and worth repeat purchases. So perhaps a place of some hits and misses, in which you just focus on the hits!
One other point to share is that the setting is colorful, filled with light, and has some nice indoor and outdoor/patio sitting options. A bit random, but within that indoor space, there is a coffee table book that is one of the coolest coffee table books I've ever seen! A gigantic book of food infographics throughout history. I totally and unexpectedly spent 30-minutes just flipping through the thing while downing my cake and smoothie. A surprising joy that I'd highly recommend (if you are as quirky...
Read moreRawnest is a vegan restaurant in the university district in Krakow. The restaurant is very aesthetic, as was the presentation of the dishes we selected. The service was very friendly and welcoming. The options were really inspired with some out of the box ingredients and combinations that really made this restaurant stand out! I have never tried Lions Mane in a dish before, and it was outstanding. It worked perfectly as a steak substitute and had a very chicken like flavour. I also tried the Gratin, which looked beautiful and was equally as tasty. The flavours/textures on each plate were balanced very well. Also, the selection of desserts was very impressive, and the Mole cake was delicious. Overall, it was one of the best vegan experiences we had in Krakow and would advise this restaurant...
Read moreThe place is quite charming, and their menu is impressively diverse, offering a good variety of options. However, I have to admit that I was disappointed with the matcha latte. It tasted more like water, with too little matcha, which made it rather unappealing to me. As for the cakes, they were just okay—not bad, but nothing special either.
One notable downside was the service. Our cakes were served late, and while it didn’t bother me much personally, I believe there’s room for improvement. Perhaps adding an extra staff member or simply communicating delays would enhance the overall experience.
That said, I’d be open to returning to try their other offerings, particularly the food, which I haven’t had the chance to taste yet. For now, I’d give the place a...
