Trattoria Soprano — Restaurant in Krakow

I decided to have my birthday diner in Soprano,called the restaurant beforehand, just after its opening and booked a table for dinner at 5. I specifically asked for the table at the window (there are two in that restaurant), the girl promised to do her best. When we arrived, much to our surprise, it turned out that the ‘special’ table next to the window, was a tiny one squeezed into a narrow corridor leading to bathroom, which also serves as a passage for waiters who serve the room downstairs. To add insult to injury, the mentioned table was vacant throughout our stay and on top of it was still unoccupied when we were passing some hours later. The interior of this restaurant provides a comfortable experience. When it comes to the food, their soup is absolutely delicious, packed with flavor, and served at the perfect temperature. However, there was a slight hiccup with the pizza; unfortunately, the bottom was a bit burnt, which affected the overall taste.

In terms of service, it was a bit of a mixed bag. On two occasions, the waitress made mistakes with our orders. The first time, she brought us coffee that we hadn't ordered. The second time, there was a mix-up with the pizza, and she initially brought us an order intended for another table. Despite these errors, the staff handled the situation well. They quickly corrected the mistakes, and the rest of the meal was served promptly and accurately. Absolute hidden gem in Krakow! Prices are not too high as are in the centre itself, which is funny, cause it’s only like 200 metres from it. We have been here three times and must say we really enjoyed everything. Freshly squeezed juices were lovely, home made creamy spinach pasta was great, same for salad with chicken. I would just described a pear salad as ordinary, tho. Red wine was great, too. Also the place itself is lovely. Very nice and cozy atmosphere inside. And fresh warm bread for free?? Totally recomend to visit this place! The location is great as well, just right next to the New Street, and the place itself is nice and cozy. Maybe the tables can be slightly bigger, as there is almo no space when two are having the main meal. And I would appreciated the pizza to be cutted...
