The worst restaurant I’ve ever been at. I regret that I didn’t read the reviews before visiting this place. We decided to go out on the New Year’s Eve with our family, so I wrote an email to get the information about this day and make a reservation. I was told that we have to pay 80 zl per person as a deposit. Later my husband went to the restaurant in order to discuss all the details and pay this deposit. Also he asked whether this money will be used as part of the bill, so we can eat on this amount and a manager confirmed it. Everything was paid and then comes the 31th of December. In general, the food was fine as well as the service. At the end of the evening we receive a bill and get our New Year surprise: our 80 zl deposit per person is added to the total bill and it is NOT a deposit, BUT an entrance fee! In addition, we have service fee added to the total amount and ALSO for this entrance fee. Can you imagine this? The next morning we came to clarify this situation and another manager told that everything is correct and there’s no mistake. We asked to be given a complaint book, but the restaurant asked for some time to discuss it with the manager my husband spoke to. Later this manager agreed that they miscalculate us but only for 80 zl (and proposed us a voucher on this amount, not even a return, unbelievable!) and also she said, that my husband was told many times that it’s an entrance fee, not a deposit and asked if it’s clear for him. Also she said that my husband has poor knowledge of English, so he didn’t get her idea. But when we asked her why she didn’t give any written note about the details if she’s so intelligent and have enough qualification to rate the level of other’s people knowledge of foreign language, she told that it would be rude from her side to do like this (to assess the language knowledge, evidently, not rude for the manager, as you can see). And, finally, we came to the restaurant (on the 7th of January) with a request to get the camera recording from the day my husband and this manager discussed the details at the entrance, to dot all the i’s, and there’s still no answer from their side. Ultimately, if they had told in a kind manner that it’s a misunderstanding and they’re sorry about that (considering the fact that they admitted the fact of miscalculating us), I would not spend my time and writing all this. But they they showed the highest unprofessionalism and that they don't care about their customers and reputation (as far as I can judge from past negative reviews). Totally do...
Read moreIt was quite an unfortunate experience for us, a group of 8 adults and 4 children, at this restaurant. Initially, we were told there were no available seats and it would take some time to arrange seating downstairs. Given the children were extremely hungry, we decided not to wait, as ordering food would further delay our meal. However, due to the cold weather outside, we returned to the restaurant within 5 minutes, hoping to wait inside. The staff were initially welcoming, even providing us with menus as we waited in the reception area.
Surprisingly, a few minutes later, a waiter informed us that we would be charged an extra 10% on both food and service due to the size of our group. This policy was neither explained to us beforehand nor did it seem reasonable, especially since we were willing to be seated separately as individual families to avoid this charge. Our request for separate tables was flatly refused, with the waiter citing orders from the manager. This experience left us feeling cornered and unfairly treated, particularly since the extra charges were levied without prior notice and seemed like an arbitrary policy targeting larger groups. In light of this, we chose to leave the restaurant. The staff's demeanor turned noticeably cold, with no attempt to address our concerns or offer any form of apology.
I would like to advise others visiting this establishment to be aware of this policy. It's disheartening to encounter such practices, especially when accompanied by children. Please be cautious and question any additional charges that may not be justified. It's important that visitors are treated with fairness and respect, without feeling extorted for simply being part of a...
Read moreI recently dined at La Grande Mamma and it was an exceptional experience! The restaurant serves some of the best pizza and pasta I’ve had in a long time. The pizza was cooked to perfection with a crispy crust and a rich, flavorful sauce, while the pasta was fresh, perfectly al dente, and bursting with authentic Italian flavors. Whether you prefer a classic Margherita or a more adventurous pasta dish, you won’t be disappointed.
The service was equally impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great suggestions and ensuring that everything ran smoothly throughout the meal. It felt like they genuinely cared about creating a great dining experience.
The décor added to the charm, very elegant, with warm lighting and tasteful Italian-inspired touches that made the atmosphere both cozy and inviting. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxed dinner with family.
Overall, it is a gem for Italian food lovers. Excellent food, wonderful service, and a charming atmosphere make it a place I will...
