Located in a LOUD building, DIRTY, NO WORKING CURTINS in bed or bathroom, NO SERVICE.||But the worst thing, they sent us an extra Bill for damage we did not do. This is a TOTAL SCAM! ||DO NOT BOOK!!!!!!! ||||DO NOT BOOK THESE APARTMENTS!||||1. They are located in a building that also have a bar, so there are loud noise all night and evening.||||2. The staff is NOT friendly and helpfull at all. ||||3. The “apartment” - Lets say what is really is; a Big room with a bed, a sofa and very small “table”. Is has no heat, there are only 2 towels, no soap, there are no curtins on the top window in the bathroom, so the entire building across from you, can see in when you take a shower. The curtins in the room, right in front of the bed do not close. So everyone across including a bar with a balcony can watch your bed, not to mention the room is bright all night, during lights from the other buildings.||||3. The main door to the apartments are shared by 2 renters. So both you and someone else renting have a key. However inside this door is a lock, which you can only lock from the inside. So the people in the other room, choose to lock this, which meant that when we arrived home at 23, we were unable to lock the door. So in -1 degree, freezing and tired, we where locked out. Luckily the renters in the other apartment heard our desperate knocking and came to Open. Because If not, we had to wait 30 minutes before the staff came to Open the door.||||4. When you leave, there is a mailbox in which you have to put the key.||We had a flight late in the evening, so we had booked 1 night extra, so we didn’t have to carry our laugage around all day. So we left the key in the mail box, the day before our officiel check out and left the room, which we had only used for sleeping and showering (at night without light, due to the missing curtins). ||The next day we receive a mail, that we have to pay around USD 300 extra for trashing the room!!!!||We are a couple at the age of 46 and 38. We travle all the time without any problems. We do not smoke, trash apartments or behave badly in any way. We have NEVER tried anything like this before, so we were in chok and called the company. The people staying in the other apartment was very Young and clearly in town to party. So se asked, If maybe they could have mixed the 2 apartments, But they told us that no one had been at the other apartment. This eventhough the people in the other apartment helped us, the night they had locked the main door and the staff that arrived 30 minutes later, also laughed and was relieved that they had helped us, so we didn’t have to freeze outside for so long.||When we demanded prof, they forwarded photos of ash on the floor (none of us smoke), the other photo was of some water on the bathroom floor, the next of a pillow which they had put a Coffee spot on.||I have Never EVER tried anything like this.||We are in complete chok :(:(:(:(:(:(||I simply cannot believe that this is legal or even possible. I will copy/paste this review Daily, just to Make sure that no one else ends up getting...
Read moreThe location of this room was perfect! It was in one of the streets that led to the most important places (square & clubs) so within 5 minutes you'd be wherever you want. Even Jewish Quarter was a walk of about 10 minutes. The staff is very polite and when you have troubles with neighbours they come withing 5 minutes (staff is absolutely worth 10 stars).||||The rooms are very plain white but also very clean.Whenever people leave the housekeeper comes by (speaks no english sadly) and cleans up anything else (kitchen, toilet etc).||||||||It only get's a 3 star rating because of the following issues that occured:||||* The windows. You have one outside window and one inside one to isolate noise from the outside world. Sadly when we locked them we had a lot of trouble to reopen them. In the end we just closed them and used the knobs not the slide lock.||||* They have 4 keys, for safety and to prevent thieves from getting inside- which would be perfect and should make you feel safe, unless the other couple in the room next to you decides to leave all doors open / unlocked! (This happened almost every day) when we however locked the (front)door the people got violent and started kicking the door, despite having the keys.... (But he was drunk...which is something you can expect).||||* Our neighbours next door. You have 1 room, and share the rest of the appartment with your "neighbours". The first people were very loud (shouting and having very loud phone calls, which we ignored due to thin walls), however the second ones were even louder, bit more violent and refused to lock doors. They also tried to use their keys on our doors twice (once when we were almost asleep, past midnight). Scary thing is, is that the keys actually fit!! Once we reported the incident with our door staff immediately handled the situation!!!||||* No entertainment in the rooms . We were there for 6 days. Let me tell you, without a TV or Radio (even in Polish) and with no Wifi you get bored VERY easily. The Wi-fi was said to be fixed, but in the end i never received a response and it never got fixed. The room you stay in is more of a place to pass out drunk than a place to talk about things.||||*Wifi. Now, we booked the place expecting wifi, of course you have Mac Donalds nearby, however when it's late you just wanna scroll your phone, not sit there. After we reported our issues with the internet it did not get resolved. You were supposed to use a password however you could never insert the available password once you connected to the Wifi network. ||||All in all a 3 star rating, however, if you have 4 people who want to have one apartment together, book here, this is the perfect place to have a home base as long as you know all he residents and their ticks. It also helps when you all speak the same...
Read moreMy friend and I ended up at the Flamingo because the hostel we'd really wanted to go to (Little Havana-- awesome, by the way-- stay there!) was booked up. The perfectly disinterested receptionist let us drop our bags because it was too early to check in; fine. When we went back to get into our room we discovered we were actually in an apartment 50m from the actual hostel-- not a huge deal, a bit inconvenient for breakfast, dropping off the keys, etc, but fine. We were also told that their booking system accidentally overbooked the room so instead of 4 people there would be 6. No kind of discount or anything was offered, but they gave us some chocolate... okay... We were a little miffed about that, so we asked about the lockers. The very clueless guy at the desk legitimately had no idea if the room had lockers. He asked the disinterested receptionist, who told him in Polish that the room did not in fact have lockers, and he then turned to us and told us that yes, it did. Weird lie, considering we'd discover the truth soon enough. Clueless receptionist even made a show of calling the manager to ask if the room had lockers... it was weird. Anyway. He then gave us directions to the apartment (because they didn't have any in English), but his directions were oddly confusing. A 50m walk became an ordeal because he described the entranceway VERY misleadingly. And then, fun times, it took a whopping 4 keys to get into the room. 2 to get into the building, 1 to get into the apartment, 1 to get into the room. That, plus the manymany stairs, were very good times when we were drunk later. So yeah, no surprise, 4 bed dorm room with 2 extra mattresses on the floor, no lockers whatsoever. Annoying. The 2 mattresses didn't even end up being a big deal; there's plenty of space in the room and they should probably add more beds anyway. No, the people in the mattresses probably got the better deal because 1, they got a discount and 2, they didn't have to be on the scary, shoddy bunk beds. I've stayed in countless hostel bunk beds and never have I been so concerned that the top bunk was going to fall onto me while sleeping. Whatever, the night was fine, the sleep was fine, the room was warm enough (no hostel wifi, by the way, but there was a connection we could use, public maybe)-- 1 bathroom for what turned out to be 10 people wasn't awesome, but fine. The real kicker was when clueless receptionist came banging on our door the next day to give us a snarky reminder about the check-out time. I think a little friendliness would have been more appropriate. Look, in the end, it's just a hostel. But 57 zloty isn't at all cheap, and can get you so, so, so, so much more in Krakow. This hostel experience was, in the end, just...
