We spent a lazy afternoon at Viva la Pinta in Krakow, and it was an incredibly relaxing experience. This well-known craft beer pub offers both outdoor and indoor seating, both of which are fantastic, with the outdoor area being particularly cozy. The pub itself has a superb courtyard with fantastic seating, making it perfect for unwinding and enjoying a few drinks.
Viva la Pinta operates as a self-service bar, which adds to its laid-back vibe. The staff members are exceptionally accommodating, polite, and friendly. Special thanks to Bartik and Basia, who were very informative and provided excellent recommendations for beers, wine, and finger food. Another colleague also helped us with beer tasting, making it easier to decide on the perfect brews. Their combined efforts made our visit even more enjoyable.
Viva la Pinta is renowned for its wide selection of craft beers, many of which are brewed by the Polish brewery Pinta, a pioneer in the Polish craft beer movement. The pub features a rotating selection of seasonal and limited-edition brews, ensuring that there's always something new to try.
If you're looking for a superb, relaxing, and cozy place to hang out, Viva la Pinta is highly recommended. The combination of excellent service, a fantastic beer selection, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-visit...
Read moreA Pinta-owned craft-beer pub (Pinta is the biggest Polish craft brewery). There's more than a dozen craft beers on tap. Some of them brewed by Pinta, but more than a half coming from other Polish craft breweries. There are some options in bottles and cans too (there used to be more a few years back, but still, there's nothing to complain about).
The choice of styles is more than decent, but don't expect anything that's really niche.
You can get some food here, if a couple of beers make you feel hungry. I got a burger, and as for pub food it was really good.
Despite the fact that the place is next to one of the most crowded streets in the center, it's located in the yard so you don't really experience the crowds.
There's a nice garden with a lot of space, a winter garden and some tables inside. For summer, I recommend sitting outside--it gets hot inside.
On a weekday evening, there was plenty of available space.
All in all, if you're looking for a combination of great beer, good food, and a garden, it's probably one of your...
Read moreLocated a half-block from the central market square, the location invites more rabble-rousers and parties than locals or beer tourists, at least at night. And at night, it’s hot, stuffy, loud, and crowded, and the smell of cigarette smoke wafts in from outside. Staff was disengaged, just hanging out chatting with their friends and not being very attentive or professional, which isn’t a big deal since they were at least competent and not rude. But what about the beer? About a dozen taps, with 3-4 of them guests (non Pinta), and a good 2 or 3 dozen bottles, most of them their own brand. Pinta makes a range of styles, Pils, Rauchbock, Grodziskie, IPA, more IPA, more IPA, etc. They do well enough that none of their products are faulty and gross, but not well enough to make their beer stand out. So this place is certainly worthy of a visit when you’re in Krakow for beer, but to focus well on the beer I recommend you go during the afternoon rather...
