Four friends and I went to eat at this restaurant, where they supposedly offer a student discount. They confirmed that there was a 25% discount, which made us decide to eat there. The food was a bit expensive for what it actually was, but since with the discount it would be 75% of the original price, we didn’t mind. The surprise came when they brought the bill and we saw that no discount had been applied. When we asked the waiter if the discount could be applied, he told us no, that once the bill was printed, they couldn’t apply it anymore, and that we should have asked for it beforehand if we wanted it. We told him that nowhere was it written that and we weren’t warned about this, and they started getting rude, saying that when she was young, if she didn’t have money to eat out, she stayed home, implying we should have cooked at home instead of eating out, and questioning why we would go anywhere without confirming the discount beforehand—something they had already confirmed to us, that there was a 25% student discount. This place is a trap for tourists and young people, assuring you that there’s a student discount, but when it comes time to pay, they tell you it can’t be applied and blame you for it. I’ve worked in restaurants, and it’s clear that the bill can be reprinted, as any mistake in the order should be corrected without any argument. I do not recommend eating at this place, so you can avoid giving money to people who, due to their sense of superiority, think they can treat young people badly who just wanted to eat and have...
Read moreOne star due to poor service. Although the pub is located in the center of Krakow, on a nice street. Sitting outside is pleasant and comfortable despite the occasional bustle. We liked Polish beer, but I must say that Czech beer is better. Unfortunately, we have a really bad experience with the service. If the servers passed us, they didn't ask if we want something, even when we had empty glasses. They came twice in three hours and only when we called for them. We waited for beer for half an hour, so the beer was foam-free. And even completely different than we ordered. Of course, we would understand if the pub was full and had few waiters, but there were at least six waiters in the pub and it was half empty. When we wanted to go inside and order after a long wait, they told us to sit and that They will come, they came in fifteen minutes. I think maybe the pub would earn more if they came more than once. I was thirsty after a hot day so I would definitely drink more than two beers in four hours. When we orderd fries they didn’t gave up ketchup with them even when we repeatedly asked for it. And considering everything i would not...
Read moreThis was unfortunately the most disappointing food we had the 2 weeks we spent in Poland. It was not pleasent at all. I had the spinach gnocchi which was meant to be with Gorgonzola cheese. The gnocchi was rubbery and dense. I couldn't taste the cheese at all. The apple in it was completely wrong and made the dish very unpleasant. My husband had the liver. This dish was just a bad choice so wasn't their fault. We also ordered grilled vegies. When they finally came, at the end of our meal. They tasted very bitter, like vinegar had been poured over it. When we complained that the vegies didnt taste good, the waitress seemed upset with us. We didn't expect the vegies to be still on the bill, but they were. After questioning the grumpy waitress, she had to ask management if she could remove them. It wasn't pleasant at all and I cannot recommend this place. It was the worst food and the service was bad at the end of it unfortunately which made the whole experience not pleasant. I would...
