FABBRICA Italian Comfort Food Kraków Floriańska (formally Fabryka Pizzy) — Restaurant in Krakow

Just came back from very first and very last encounter with Fabryka Pizzy. We travel to Krakow several times a year but eat in proper places - wonderful Georgian independent restaurants, genuine and honest Polish eateries. Today we needed a quick snack - we thought "why not a pizza"? Ordered a pizza for take away. Told there is half an hour wait. No problem, we went for a walk. Came back within 20 minutes - a pizza box sitting merrily on a counter. A lady at the bar downstairs ignores us so I ask if it's the pizza we paid for. Apparently it was. How long it was sitting there? Anyone's guess as the staff completely uninterested. There was supposed to be a sauce with pizza. And we had audacity to ask for it. The way it was plonked in front of my hubby would be funny if it wasn't so sad. The staff member more interested in playing with her phone than in any interaction with customers. When I arrived, I clearly mentioned that I have a severe allergy, and that was the only reason I chose this place — I needed to make sure my food would be safe.

Despite that, the waiter brought me food with gluten twice! First brought a gluten pizza, and if I didn’t double check, I would have eaten it, then a tiramisu which was also with gluten and I only knew because I insisted to know …. I suffer from a serious allergy, and this could have ended very badly.

To make things worse, we couldn’t eat anything, yet we were still charged for two small glasses of wine that I didn’t finish, instead of apologies.

Absolutely unacceptable and deeply disappointing.
