We have been visiting the place every time we are in Poznan. But this time the behavior of the employees was ?!?!? We ordered among other food and drinks the Spicy Mango Margarita. The look of it wasn’t the same as its picture on the menu. And the taste was just bitter! No mango No Spiciness
So I went to the lady, explained the reason of my request and asked her to replace the drink ! She looked at me like I was asking the moon and the stars! But wait it gets better and for sure can attract the interest of the health department!!!!
WITHOUT ASKING she puts a straw in the glass and vacuums a sip so she can taste it ! She says : “it’s the right taste ! We can’t replace it”. Another guy came and I asked him if he was the supervisor since he had a different T-shirt and a name tag. Told him what I was asking from them ….. and guess what! he ALSO TAKES a straw to try the drink ….. so I just said ok guys enjoy your drink !!!!!
Left it for them to enjoy it !
After Covid I thought people would have a different way and for sure ask you before trying a drink you have paid and it doesn’t look or tastes at all like it should !
Meanwhile the pizza wasn’t as it was in the previous years and the 0% beers were “cold” as a pee.
No wonder the place was not as crowded as before on this warm summer...
Read moreNoticed this place by the side of the Varta River from a Tram (stop at AWF) on a recent visit; then got invited to it by friends. This is a relatively new outdoor venue established for the summer season. Easy access by riverside cycle-paths (however these could be improved by better lighting at night). We arrived after 20:30- surprising choice of bars/food vendors ranging from excellent wood-fired pizza, gourmet burgers, ribs, fish and more. Not all seating under cover so check the forecast. Under cover seating (upstairs) was at a premium (possibly need to reserve). Nice to step out on the imported sand so far from the coast. Family friendly (with swings and play area) even to late on a Friday evening. Seemed to be safe and secure; security...
Read moreNice place where you can spend some free time as soon as the Spring season starts in Poznan. It's located on Warta River, not that far from the city center and it's easily reachable with busses and trams.
The beer selection is top notch, because I believe it's one of the few places where you can drink Peroni beer. This is a must if you are Italian like me, maybe their pizza might not be the best around, but overall it's decent if paired with that beer. There's also a small basketball court if you want to play with friends and have some practice.
But the atmosphere of this place is its best trick up the sleeves, because you can enjoy the likes of being on the beach shore when in reality you are not that far from Poznan's...
