Dark Koncept Radosław Nejman — Restaurant in Poznan

As someone who’s vegan, I’m always a little apprehensive about what might be served in restaurants — and that uncertainty is only heightened when there’s no visibility ahead of eating.

This has always put me off “dark” dining experiences, but I decided to give Dark Concept a go. I could not have been more impressed.

From the moment Magda took my coat, I knew this was a place that took my requirements seriously. What followed was a culinary and sensory experience that I couldn’t rate more highly.

The evening began with a thoughtful conversation about allergies, preferences, and what was acceptable for the meal. This was handled with care, genuine understanding, and an appreciation that the key ingredient in a meal you can’t see is trust.

I won’t spoil the excitement of the meal itself, but I’d strongly encourage you to do as suggested and eat with your hands — it adds a wonderful tactile dimension to the experience. The food was exceptional.

What I hadn’t anticipated was how profoundly different eating in complete darkness would feel. The simple pleasure of being without screens for an hour only enhanced the experience.

The evening finished with a conversation with the chef, who was genuinely enthusiastic about what he’d created — and curious whether I could tell what it was.

I arrived expecting a once-in-a-lifetime novelty, but I left already planning...

I just left after soloing an extreme variant of the dinner and man, I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Julia was superb in welcoming me and explaining everything, confirming whether I had any dietary restriction, etc.

Afterwards she led me into a pitch black room and the culinary fun began. Although they offer cutlery, I’m a NYer, eat like you’re supposed to eat a pizza - with your hands! Each dish was expertly prepared and somehow someone knew when I was finished to come by, clean up, and bring on the next one. Excellent service. I only saw night vision eyes when they were coming by, maybe some Seal Team spyware was used. Idk.

After everything, I got to meat the Chef and we discussed each dish. No spoilers!

I then left and came to a few minutes later when they called reminding me that I forgot to pay. Apparently it happens often so no big deal!

Zawitaliśmy tu wczoraj z mężem. Pierwszy raz byliśmy w tego typu restauracji, więc kompletnie nie wiedzieliśmy czego się spodziewać. Bardzo ciekawe doświadczenie. Jedzenie w absolutnej ciemności to zupełny inny wymiar spożywania posiłku. Skupialiśmy się na każdym kęsie, próbując rozszyfrować co przygotował dla nas szef kuchni. Jedzenie było pyszne, nieoczywiste kompozycje i coś zupełnie innego. Przed wejściem do absoltunej ciemności odbywa się instruktaż, pani kelnerka o wszystkim informuje oraz zadaje pytania o alergie pokarmowe oraz preferencje dotyczące posiłków. Każde danie to niespodzianka, nie masz pojęcia co dostaniesz, co potęguje wrażenia. Mąż dostał zupełnie inne potrawy. Całość składała się z przystawki, dania głównego oraz deseru. Pomimo absoltnej ciemności, można było zorientować się, że dania są pięknie podane, jedliśmy głównie dłońmi co dodatkowo przełamywało bariery i było super przeżyciem. Na dodatkową uwagę zasługuje fakt, że po kolacji można porozmawiać z szefem kuchni - panem Radosławem, który opowiada co dla nas przygotował, widać, że jest to człowiek pełen pasji do gotowania, dbający o klientów. Pani kelnerka bardzo uprzejmie nas przyjęła, oprowadziła i zaopiekowała się nami. Bardzo spokojne i kulturane miejsce. Wyjątkowe....
