So we should of followed the advice from other people posting here. Not authentic overpriced. We did not want to walk far for Thai so we settled for this place. Clue number one there are only four people in the whole restaurant. The waiter asks if we have reservation we look around umm... No. He says okay let me check. For what we do not know because the whole hour we were there no one else came in. He comes back to us and sits us right next to another couple. Let me say again the restaurant is empty. We are now sitting and hearing another couple eat. We order shrimp pad Thai and a udon noodle with beef and kimchi. Let me tell you the saltiest pad Thai I have ever eaten. We were hungry and ate it. The noodles not cooked all the way through, large chunks of garlic. The udon beef not enough beef to warrant the 70zl price. I would not ever go back nor would I recommend this place. As far from Asian food as you can get. 172zl later we are Still reeling from what...
Read moreI booked a table for four and the food was hit and miss. Some of the dishes were ok but none very tasty and I wouldn't go as far as calling it authentic.
The service was terrible. The waiter was not friendly and seemed unhappy we were there from the moment we got there. We ordered drinks including Jul Spritz which was served in an extremely thin glass with loads of ice. When we gently toasted the glass broke creating a hole leading to the drink spilling all over the table. Not only did the staff not clean up the spillage or change our table, they were visibly upset and not apologetic at all. Ordering a drink for 48 zlotych one would expect the glass not to be this flimsy and let me stress we did not bang our glasses, just gently clinked them. We ended up ordering another drink in a more sturdy glass and again we were not offered any sort of apology. This is unacceptable and has put me off more than the...
Read moreOrdinary food. And grumpy service. Along with high (sometimes absurdly high*) prices. for example, a carafe of ordinary tap water cost 18 zł — to refill it, another 18zł.
After your defensive reply to my original review:
I was executive chef at a Michelin listed French restaurant in London, so I know quite a lot about how restaurants work. I have eaten in fine Asian restaurants in London, New York, San Francisco, Vancouver, Chengdu, Lassa, and Kathmandu. I thought the food my guest and I had at Tasaky was ordinary. Not bad, just unexceptional and overpriced. My waiter was unquestionably grumpy. And to charge 18zł for a carafe of tap water (advertised as 1 litre, but only ⅔ full) was unconscionable. Still, your restaurant was mostly full, so you are clearly doing something right. However, I was unable to figure out...
