A place with the strangest service staff I have ever met. First, let me say I have no complaints about the food – everything is great and tastes good. But I do have a few questions about the service. My parents came to visit, and we decided to have dinner at your restaurant. A waiter came over and we started ordering. My mom had questions about the menu, so she asked me since she doesn’t speak polish or english and used russian instead. Although I speak three languages well (unfortunately, Polish isn’t one of them yet, though I’m learning), I always try to speak Polish in Poland. I managed to translate my mom’s questions into Polish and ask the waiter. The waiter, with a calm look, stood nearby, listened, smiled, and politely answered in Polish. Everything seemed fine—until a twist occurred… I was very surprised when I went to the restroom and saw that all the waiters were gathered at the bar, talking with each other in russian. And here, I just cannot understand the logic. Is a waiter forbidden from taking orders or speaking with customers in any language but Polish? Is that a restaurant rule? Is this some kind of joke by the staff to have a laugh at the customers? Let me sum it up to avoid any misunderstanding: Why does a waiter who speaks russian like a native act as if he/she doesn’t understand it, only to leave your table 50 meters away and then talk russian...
Read moreOnce owned by a reputable Polish journalist, Przegryź was an iconic place, with great food. This cult-like restaurant still has enormous potential, that's why after visiting it many years later, the overall disappointment hurt that much more.
From the start we didn't feel welcome... When I came up to the waiter to ask for English menus, the new owner (!!! as it later turned out) mocked us, saying that maybe we also want menus in French and German 😨
What's funny is the staff didn't know how to prepare a Tom Collins (which was chosen from the menu) and because of that we waited for our waters and drinks for a really long time... The food was OK, but definitely not worth its price - 40 zł for a tomato risotto suggests something pretty spectacular 🤣
Maybe the new owner should focus more on treating her customers with respect, instead of later having fake reviews written to cover up the constructive critiques. Surely, that will more probably result in the place up-keeping...
Read moreJust visited this place as it was recommended. The food was nice, not a great choice of warm dishes though. We ordered soups for a starter and main dishes, but the main dishes were cold dishes. Ok, we said we would try! It was Thursday, 1 o’clock pm. We could not believe!!!! We were waiting for our soups for 45 mins!!!!! Ridiculous! It is obvious they did not cook that soup from the start; it needed to be heated up! Yet it lasted 45 minutes. Then extra 10 minutes total 55 mins for our cold main dishes!!! Seriously????!!!!! Is it for real???? How long does it take to heat up soup and put on a plate cold dishes????? Apparently! This place is always busy so Dear Owner! Management! Hire more people!!! It is not an excuse that it was busy! If you continue like this, I am sure you will not be busy and you will have less income!!!! I would rather not come back to this place as 45-55 minutes wait for food is NOT...
