Terrible experience with a barista named Natalia at Starbucks. I walked in, ordered my usual — a venti cappuccino. What I got on the way out was essentially a weightless cup filled 80% with foam. I’ve never paid $7 for a cup of air before, but hey — there’s a first time for everything, right?
When I politely asked for it to be remade with actual coffee and milk, Natalia proceeded to lecture me on how “this is exactly how a cappuccino is supposed to be made.” According to her, if I didn’t want a “hollow foam cup,” I should’ve ordered a latte. Mind you — this is coming from someone who works at a reputable coffee chain and represents its brand. I was honestly shocked.
How do you hire someone who thinks it’s okay to argue with a customer over a clearly messed-up order — and worse, make the customer feel like it’s their fault for expecting a proper drink? Maybe she’s on some personal mission to save milk and coffee, I don’t know — but that’s really between her and Starbucks’ management.
To be fair, she did remake the drink… eventually. But not without letting me know how incredibly offended she was by having to do her job. She slammed the cup down so hard it splashed coffee all over the table — almost like it was on purpose. I’ve honestly never experienced such passive-aggressive behavior in any other café in Warsaw.
And just to clarify — I do understand how stressful working in hospitality can be. I always approach service staff with respect. But this? This was next-level rude. Starbucks, you seriously need to train your people better — or at least remind them that basic courtesy is...
Read moreThis is for sure my LEAST favourite Starbucks in Warsaw. Every single time I’m going there something happens (and I’ve been doing so for about 2 months on a daily basis !) I’m SO DISAPPOINTED in polish Starbucks brunch ! Not only they aren’t organised ( always huge queues, messed up orders , different charges for the same thing, neglection of membership status etc) but cannot even give warm atmosphere and friendly attitude towards Starbucks customers. I think today was my last visit , I hope the manager can improve baristas & cashiers attitude including greeting customers when they enter the store. A multiple times I was just standing at the cashier waiting for employees to finish their chatting and take my order, didn’t receive any positive experience obviously being ignored , waiting for my coffee for 15 minutes (like always , if I’m going to that Starbucks it’s never fast) and i just got an impression they don’t pay attention to an order. Also they always tell me about their price changes .. which is weird for me. I hope Starbucks in Poland can bring more positive vibes & impression, if the price are updated I want to see it on a board or...
Read moreBEWARE: If you order a single expresso (10.50pln) and look foreign, the little blonde clerk with acne will surcharge you 0.25 pln adding some random excuses like it's a European tax, to one of my friends he changed that to " it's for tap water". To a third friend, not looking like a foreigner and who spoke polish, he just made him pay the regular 10.50 and gave him tap water obviously :))) The other Starbucks around town have no sketchy behavior and smart guys at the counter, go there instead. You thought I forgot about this eh? Now you got...
