I had quite a disappointing experience with overcharging. I recently visited this bar and had a truly unpleasant experience. I was quoted £12 for a drink in GBP, only to be charged more than double upon paying the bill (£30+).
They originally wanted us to leave a tab open, and I realised the danger in doing so when I received the bill after just one drink. This is a significant overcharge, especially without any prior warning or explanation. Furthermore, I felt that I was treated differently due to my nationality as a non-Polish customer.
The service I received was noticeably less attentive and respectful compared to the other customers. I would advise others to avoid this establishment if your not a local. It's disheartening to encounter such dishonest practices in what should be a welcoming environment. I wouldn't visit again and would not recommend my fellow Brits to do the same.
Don't let this discourage a visit to Warsaw as all other bars we've visited have been welcoming and honest, but just this one establishment really let it down.
Update and response to owner
I never ordered a double - quite frankly offended that you would use that as an excuse. I'd like you to realise that if I had ordered a double, this would have equated to £24, not the £32 that came from out bank. Therefore, unless you charged an extra £8 for handing it to me over the bar itself, you're very mistaken. I standby my review and still feel that we were taken advantage of due to our nationality - There are plenty of other reviews on Google for your business which also indicate a history of mis-selling under false vocal advertisements. Please don't take advantage of your customers, they're the beating heart of your business. I would have been happy to pay (and I did) had I not been...

Read moreNice steampunk style bar. We decided to stop here for a short visit on our first evening in Warsaw. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a longer stay because - even though the place wasn't very busy - we had to wait over 45 minutes for our burgers. They were very tasty anyway - but it can be done quicker.
And the second criticism I have to make is that the music played wasn't really steampunk, more like bland lounge music. But maybe we just picked a bad day to visit during the week.
And finally - we were unfortunately not aware that they also had shisha for smoking. That's why there was always a sugary sweet smell in the place - which is an absolute nightmare for me as a non-smoker. But we could have found out about that beforehand, so no fault from the owners here! But I think it should be mentioned for people who - like me - can't stand that smell for a...
