I checked out this place for lunch today, as it is one of my cousins’ favorites. She loves their wraps. I spent a lot of time with the menu before opting for a “Mac n’ Cheese Burger”, marketed as being an American-style meal. I can tell you that we do not have buns swimming in pasta in the U.S., though we do have mac n’ cheese included on burgers sometimes—Falla just added a liiiiittle bit too much of the mac. I could not eat it like a burger, because the bun got soggy and I would have obviously gotten filthy eating this. I had to use a fork and a knife and gave up on the bread altogether. The flavors, however, were really good! I loved the way the mac n’ cheese was seasoned and how they added green onion to it. For a veganized mac and cheese, it was pretty great. It did come with two slivers of tempeh, so I recommend that they just serve a bowl of macaroni with the tempeh cut into pieces to resemble vegan bacon as a dish instead of the whole burger idea. The shakshuka my lunch companion had was also not the best, as it was reportedly too spicy. The little one enjoyed their kiddie burger very much, though, and we had some homemade fruit juice that we liked as well. The spot is really cute and lovely overall,...
Read moreFreshly opened place with decent oriental vegetarian menu but please do something about the bread and "turkish coffee" !!
The hummous mix is good although a bit overrated.
waitress was very nice and polite taking care of the way things were going which unappreciated.
the bread served with hummous is really a disgrace for the dish because it s way too hard and not tasty. Bread should be the base when you serve mezze and hummous and not being able to make such a basic thing right really made me wonder... just because of that i will not go back until it's fixed. Also the reason why we didn't even try deserts.
This place has potential but not well run so far in the kitchen side. An advice: maybe try to focus on less things but at least so them right and keep the ones which you master (hummous).
I d be happy to try again but only if these basics are fixed because it s...
Read moreDue to the events of today, I feel compelled to express my opinions regarding this restaurant. I couldn't wait to go eat their "Gzik," a seasonal meal that we missed the previous year despite our other friend's recommendation. She recently celebrated a birthday, so I invited her over for a meal in Falla. After carefully reading the menu's ingredients, we ordered "Gzik." When we received our meal, we discovered spring onions on it that weren't included on the menu ( I have condition with my stomach and avoid onion and spring onion ). To be polite, I attempted to eat it, but I quickly regretted it and told the waitress, ANITA. She stated the chef might redo the dish without it, but I declined because the radish that was provided with it also had spring onion added to its sauce. Anita promised us the discount after I declined the opportunity to get the dish redone because I was already feeling ill. We requested the bill after my friend finished her meal. I'm not upset that I didn't receive a discount, but I would like to know why. (2 STARS for outstanding...
