Nonna, the Neapolitan pizza paradise nestled in Warsaw, delivered an absolutely delightful experience. From the very beginning, it was clear that I was in for a charming treat. The authenticity of Neapolitan pizza truly takes center stage here.
The dough is a genuine culinary masterpiece, striking the perfect balance between the crispiness of the edges and the tender allure of the center. Fresh, high-quality ingredients come together in every slice, orchestrating a symphony of flavors that effortlessly transported me to the lively streets of Naples.
Now, let’s talk about the service. Enter the glasses-wearing waiter, who, let’s just say, elevated the concept of ‘easy-going’ to an art form. The pace at which things unfolded was like a carefully choreographed dance of sweetness. It was almost as if the ‘sweet’ slowness was a deliberate, endearing quality. Yet, amidst this gentle tempo, he remained attentive, friendly, and absolutely charming. Not only did he navigate my menu inquiries with grace, but his recommendations were nothing short of brilliant. His deliberate pace, in an oddly endearing way, actually added to the allure of the experience.
Nonna isn’t just a pizzeria; it’s a grand gastronomic expedition into the heart of Neapolitan cuisine. For anyone who reveres the sanctity of a well-crafted pizza and seeks an authentically unforgettable experience, this is your haven. My taste buds still perform a standing ovation for the memory of every single bite, and you can bet your ‘glasses’ I’ll be making a swift return to indulge in more of Nonna’s irresistible creations in the...
Read moreWe decided to give this place a shot based on recommendations from several friends, and boy, were they right about the pizza! It had a real Italian flair, maybe even a bit too much for my liking. I can explain, I went for the one with guanciale, which was tasty, but I felt like the guanciale could have been sliced a bit thicker and there could've been a bit more cheese on the pizza. Still, the price was fair for the quality, and the location near our hotel in a quiet area was a plus.
We opted to sit outside, which was perfect in the nice weather. The service was friendly and quick, both in taking our order and baking the pizza. We also tried the Aperol cocktail, which was a new experience for us and quite enjoyable. Personally, I would've preferred it without the fruit bits for a cleaner taste. Overall, it was a solid pizza joint with great service and a...
Read moreThe best pizza I have ever had. Period. The line was long but so worth it. They use a Neapolitan oven so the pizzas cook in 90 seconds. I had the Diavola which was incredible and not too spicy. The crust was crispy and the cheese was very light and fresh. The highlight was the summery basil tomato sauce on the red pizzas. I wish I could have taken another pizza home with me but half the experience is eating it hot out of the oven. The service was super fast and friendly too- that made the experience amazing.
The bathrooms were also incredibly clean and spacious considering the restaurants location in a bustling neighborhood.
What made the experience super special was every table has a view of the wood fire oven. And you can watch the chefs prepare each pizza which proves the freshness. I highly recommend stopping here if you...
