Cafe Kafka — Restaurant in Warsaw

I recently had lunch here that I usually enjoy, but today's experience left me thoroughly disappointed. I initially ordered three eggs with avocado spread, only to be informed that they were out of it. The staff recommended an omelet with spinach as an alternative, and I agreed to the substitution.

However, when the omelet arrived, it was far from what I expected. Instead of a well-prepared omelet, it seemed more like it had been deep-fried, with excessive amount of oil. The dish was so oily that I couldn't bring myself to eat it, prompting me to kindly return it. To my surprise, the staff seemed unresponsive and unwilling to offer an alternative.

Opting for another dish, I ordered and paid for a salad with grilled chicken. Unfortunately, this choice didn't fare any better. The chicken pieces were not only cold but also tasteless, making it impossible for me to finish the meal. Beyond the disappointing taste of the food, the entire place reeked of oil, and the smell clung to my hair, clothes, and jacket.

While I've typically found this place to be a nice and cozy spot, today's experience was a letdown. The lack of understanding from the staff regarding the quality of the food, coupled with the unpleasant smell that lingered on my belongings, has left me with a strong sense of disappointment. Regrettably, I don't plan on returning...

Lovely restaurant with games, books, and amazing breakfasts- great spot for gathering with family and friends but not an ideal location for remote work.

Due to its location (close to the university) and word on the street, I had the assumption this cafe would be a great spot to bring my laptop and do some work. However, I found the cafe to only have seating for groups (no individual seats aside from a standing-only bar area) and that most people were there to chat and hang out with friends and family. There were only 4 baked goods available- the highlights here seem to be the assortment of colorful alcohols and breathtaking breakfast trays- I really wish I ordered pancakes instead of the peanut toffee cake, as it wasn't nearly as good as it looked. The hot chocolate unfortauntely tasted like a store bought powder mix, and this is the first time in my life I had it served with raisins. I sat outside in the lovely sunshine, and there is a beautiful view of the park! However, feathery friends are a bit too friendly and will steal your food if you turn away for even a second. It was a lot of fun watching them, and eventually I gave up protecting my dessert to try to focus on some work.

All in all, I would love to come back for a tasty meal with friends but I won't plan to do any more...

I ordered the penne with chicken via Bolt, than got the call from the restaurant saying that they’re out of chicken and will replace it with salmon, I specifically asked if all the other ingredients are gonna be the same, the girl on the phone confirmed that yes. However, they did not just replace chicken with salmon, they sent me their salmon dish, where other ingredients include blue cheese to which I’m ALLERGIC TO. I didn’t know so I started eating it, as I specifically asked if other ingredients are gonna be the same, because there is no blue cheese in the regular chicken dish. I had to take emergency allergy pills. I called them immediately when I realized something is wrong, but the girl on the phone didn’t even apologize or anything, so I’m writing a review now as today it’s late already, but I will be moving this farther and coming to talk to a manager to make sure such incompetence would not go unnoticed, this could have been life-threatening and this girl or whoever was responsible should not be...
