Italian cuisine is poetry in flavors, warmth, and passion – you know, the kind of food that wraps you up like sunshine on an Italian beach. We came to this restaurant with high hopes for an evening like that. And while the starter promised a culinary symphony, the main courses… well, they felt more like a rehearsal where the orchestra misplaced its sheet music.
Let’s start with the highlight – pizza with pistachio and burrata. Absolute magic! The burrata was so milky and creamy that you could eat it with a spoon like dessert, and the pistachios added a perfect nutty touch. World-class, a starter you’ll dream about for weeks. After such a beginning, we were ready for greatness on our plates.
Then came the main courses: • Lasagne ragu – rich, meaty, and flavorful. You could taste the hours of slow cooking in the ragu, and the sauce tied everything together beautifully. But hey, lasagne isn’t just about taste – it’s about the warmth that soothes the soul. Here? Lukewarm, as if someone turned off the oven too soon. • Spaghetti with prawns – delicate, creamy sauce with a wonderful, briny accent from the prawns. A real taste of summer by the Adriatic. Sadly, it was barely warm again. We began to wonder if the kitchen had an issue with thermometers. • Spaghetti speciale in parmesan with truffle – sounded like a dream: pasta tossed in a parmesan wheel with a touch of truffle. The first attempt – cold. The second – slightly warm. The taste? Bland. The truffle? Barely noticeable. A big promise turned into a big disappointment. • Spaghetti with guanciale (pork jowl) – the story repeated itself. First cold, then slightly warmer, but still missing the basics: a hot, aromatic dish that makes you feel at home.
The service? Now, that’s an interesting twist. The manager – professional, polite, and quick to replace cold dishes without hesitation. Sounds perfect, right? But her reaction gave the impression this wasn’t the first time. It felt like the “cold dish – replace quickly” protocol was a regular part of their day.
And the waitress? She tried really hard, but after five minutes, I knew the menu better than she did. Every question about a dish left her flustered and running to the kitchen for answers. I appreciate her effort, but in a restaurant serving such a menu, you expect the staff to know it inside out.
To sum it up: the starter was a masterpiece, but the main courses disappointed, mostly due to the lack of proper temperature. The staff did their best, but the impression of professionalism clashed with the recurring mistakes in the kitchen. 3/5, because the potential is there, but the kitchen needs to fire on all cylinders. I’m waiting for a better performance – maybe with a heated oven and a touch more...
Read moreThe eye catchy interior cought my attention, the casual atmosphere made me stay and the food made me come back ! Visited twice so far and definately coming back for another round. I went for appetizers, main and dessert. Both times I was more than happy. First time around I had Pate Toscano, Pizza Bologna and Tiramisu. Quality wise totally on par or better than some great italian pizza places I know from Berlin. But it was only after my second visit that I think, I understood what differentiates this place from other Italian places around. In my experience if you want a good pizza you go to a pizza place and if you want great pasta you go to a pasta place... But now... there is Mollinari. It combines the best of both worlds. The second time I went I had Stria, pappardelle pere gorgonzola and cannoli. I mean who doesn't like tiramisu or cannoli - just awesome. The unfolding flavors of the pear and gorgonzolla totally justified the seemingly risky choice of the pasta and sealed for me my opinion so far :) Absolutely...
Read moreI have finally eat a pizza like in Italy in Wrocław! Me and my wife went there out of curiosity with very low expectations and... It went way beyond! I took a Parma and my wife took a Gianna and they were both delicious! I was so happy that I had to go and thank the pizzaiolo(Piotr if I understood correctly the name) for the great experience! ❤️To be fair, I even wanted to hug him how happy I was but he looked already shy and I didn't want to traumatize him. Besides, I need him in good shape, as I want to come back soon for another great pizza!Service was super, the waiter was super nice and professional, always on the move ready to provide great service. Very nice interior as well, the only thing that I would like to see next time in the menù is some Italian crafted beers like Menabrea or some soft drink like chinotto, that would make it even more italian! But I really strongly recommend this place, I will be back (word of terminator... I mean, more...
