I had a small açai here. The açai was barely present, mostly fruits, and almost no granola. To the treatment: I've never been treated like a criminal in my whole life. So: I went to the register to pay. I wanted to pay with a card but the guy said the minimum to pay with car is 5€, but the açai was 4,5€. They told me there is an ATM at the surf school. I asked: "around the corner?" cause I recalled a surf school somewhere there and I am not from here so ... And the waitress, that waited me said "yes"... I went out, started walking and I couldn't see the ATM anywhere...I started to look for the closest ATM on the Google maps, and there was none in the next few meters, but there was one maybe a 3 min walk away ... At that very moment the waitress came after me, saying that I passed the ATM and that it's right there. And she brought me to it. The ATM was indeed almost next to the cafe, where I had the acai, but a bit hidden behind some clothes and some other stuff. I took the money and returned to pay. The guy (I assume the owner) started talking to me and looking at me like I wanted to run or something... I have to stress out that I was stumbling around the cafe looking for the ATM and looking at Google maps to see where it could be ... if I wanted to run, well, i would have RUN, no? Anyway, I paid and he kept looking at me very judgementaly...I told him: "the whole world is not bad"...he answered something about God in Portuguese and started to aggressively do stuff behind the bar...I left. I was so in shock, I had to sit in my car for a while and calm down. I've never been treated so poorly and so humiliated in my whole life.
You should be ashamed of yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You might believe in God, but I believe in Karma. Good...

We found multiple hairs in our tosta and had to stop eating.
The manager’s response to my discreet concern was very erratic, unprofessional and immature.
Despite conversing in English, he claimed not to understand it when there was a problem which seems to be something he does often based on other previous reviews.
Despite his child like behaviour, we paid in full, including for the poor-quality food, and did not request a refund, though it was highly warranted!
We’ve now reported the incident with pictures my partner took to ASAE. We would have liked to avoid that but the manager needs some further training as his behaviour in person and on google is staining the business.
For a lovely and traditional Portuguese experience, you can try the restaurant two doors down, which offers the same menu but superior food and service. You will not be abused in that establishment 😊 this is just an angry man projecting his issues onto the world, sad for him really.

I told the waiter and he called the manager who came up to me trying to convince me that it was my fault. They kept arguing with me and insistimg for ling time arguement that it was my fault as in their snackbar a tuna toast comes with mayonnaise and cheese and i should have known.
