Dr. Bernard Caparica — Restaurant in Almada

Don't go to this surf school. Me and my friends went there for class and were unsure about which board to get. We were pondering for a few minutes and tried to ask some questions but a teacher told us to "stop wasting their time" and that he would "kill us if we continued" borderline yelling ??! Even as a joke that is just rude...Then we got to the class, which was okay. Until at the end the teacher just disapeared without saying a word for the last 20min of the class. When I asked him about it at the end, he said he wanted us to catch waves on our own. That's okay I guess but when I told him he could have told us he was leaving so that it would be less confusing, he got mad. Saying things like "This is my class, we do what I want and you're lucky I even helped you in the water at all, I could have not if I wanted to" not listening to us at all and almost yelling again. Left almost crying.

Teacher's name was Mario. Avoid him. Overall bad experience, I will never come back although the facilities...

The place is absolutely stunning, with a beautiful ocean view and a great vibe. I've been coming here for quite a while, even during the Covid days in 2021. Every visit makes me feel grateful to be living in Lisbon. However, I've noticed that the prices have gone up significantly lately. EUR 6.5 for an orange juice and EUR 5.5 for a beer that's not even a full pint seems a bit steep. On top of that, paying an extra EUR 10 for high-speed WiFi feels excessive. In the past, I could comfortably work here and enjoy a few things within a EUR 15 budget, but yesterday I spent EUR 15 just for one beer, one orange juice, and some shared fries with a friend.

I really love supporting local businesses, and I think you guys are doing a fantastic job, but the current pricing is starting to feel a bit unreasonable. It might explain why it's a bit quieter now during the week compared to last year. I hope this feedback is helpful, and that you consider adjusting the prices a little to make it more...

Me and my family are very unhappy with the service overall:

First of all: very expensive. We ordered 4 "tostas" (toasted sandwiches) and a bottle of water for 46 euros! And the size of the tostas is average, not big at all.

To continue with, we waited for them for 30 minutes! (Keep in mind that WE HAVE ORDERED THEM IN A TAKE AWAY!, which should go faster). The waitress told us that the tostas would be done in 15-20 minutes, but this has been enough to make us angry.

Two of them tostas should have been done without cheese (we made that clear when we ordered) so when we had waited for 30 minutes, they gave us two of them tostas. But the other two of them weren't there because they forgot not to put cheese on them, dang it! That was so depressive and desperate.

As we waited, the staff continued to serve food to the customers that arrived right long after us, unbelievable.

That's why it has 1/5 stars. Plus, the quality of the tostas isn't that good, the ham tasted...
