My wife chose this place as it was near an appointment we had.

Joyeux “Served with the Heart” Cafe Joyeux is the first family of solidarity and inclusive Cafe - Restaurants, that employs and trains people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. (Locations in Lisbon and Cascais)

We were welcomed and greeted as we entered the cafe. The service was helpful with our questions and our order was served hot and quickly.

Ordered mushroom and chicken quiche, beef croquettes and chicken pot pie. Our meal was absolutely tasty and delicious.

A beautiful, cozy place. The tea and the quiche with salmon were good. The service, however, was at an unsatisfactory level. The cashier used Google Translate to translate the name of a soup into English, and then there was a misunderstanding about the salmon quiche — for some reason, the cashier was convinced I had ordered a salmon salad, even though I was clearly pointing at the salmon quiche. After that, I could clearly hear staff behind my back mimicking my order and what I had said in different tones. Service...

Café Joyeux is a delightful place to visit in Cascais. The service is excellent and the coffee is divine. In Portuguese, I would like to say “Obrigado pelo excelente serviço e comida deliciosa” which means “Thank you for the excellent service and delicious food”.
