Miski Sabores Peruanos — Restaurant in Cascais

The MAIN problem was finding glass in my girlfriend’s salad! But what made a bad problem worse was the service: the waitress was dismissive and showed no care when we pointed out that there was glass on the food. When we asked for the check, the restaurant left the salad on the bill and, when I told them to remove the item, the waitress sighed and showed a bothered attitude, appearing to think it was not that big of a deal - or hoping that the issue was forgotten!

Apart from this, other things worth noting were the unfriendly atmosphere (staff speaking to each other in Spanish while also speaking to English speaking guests), and the fact that the waiting staff does not know how to speak Portuguese or English (I speak Spanish, but my girlfriend does not, making it harder on her).

Food is unbelievable. If you are looking for some fresh breeze and unforgettable flavours - go to Miski in Cascais, a Peruvian restaurant. We went there for lunch, space is tiny and cozy. We had leche Tigre “Uchu” with rocotto pepper sauce, tasty and fresh! Ceviche Classico with white fish was simply delicious. Both, leche Tigre and ceviche were served with fried squid “chicharron de calamar” - dip it in the sauce! We shared “Quino Pacha” - Lomo Saltado - strips of sirloin with red onion and quinoa risotto with yellow pepper and I still can’t forget its perfection! We were attended with sympathy and smile. We dined here on our last night in Cascais and it was by far the best meal we had. It was our first time eating Peruvian food, but our waitress took the time to explain each meal and even make some recommendations based on our tastes. The food was outstanding, full of flavour and made using fresh ingredients. On top of this the cocktails were lovely and did not scrimp on alcohol. The best thing about this resturant however is the staff. Our waitress was lovely, genuinely friendly and full of advice about the food and local area. If it hadn't have been our last night we would have gone back for a second meal. Would 100%...
