SushiCome — Restaurant in Cascais

After having been to some very decent sushi places in Cascais, it was time to try SushiCome. First of all, the service is friendly, good & fast. The atmosphere is pleasant enough with good lighting and sufficient space between the tables. Then, the food. If you come to an all-you-can-eat restaurant, your expectations should always be realistic. The lunch deal isn't incredibly expensive, but we found ourselves underwhelmed with most of the dishes we ordered. I would definitely avoid the sashimi, it's simply not enjoyable and I ended up leaving it. Even the fried wonton were overdone. This restaurant is probably an acceptable option for students, but with so many good options in Cascais I'd rather pay a bit more for fresher sushi & sashimi. Three stars because of the service, two stars...

Pretty consistently good food, great friendly and helpful service, and a ridiculously low price. The sushi ranges from pretty alright to pretty good, and the fried foods and dumplings range from pretty good to great (especially the tempura shrimp, fried duck and calamari are very good). The menu is surprisingly varied and the service is impeccable. Seriously, these servers aren't just really nice people. but they seem to know exactly how they can help you exactly when you need it. The server who helped us spoke great English and even gave us advice on what to do in the area when we asked her. All that for a stupid low price. Definitely visit if you want an infinite amount of food for an infinite amount of time for less than 18 euro...

I've brought my business to this place many times with my wife and the food was good. Not amazing, but certainly good. This time I went on my own (wife is away) and despite having many free tables, as soon as I said it was one person alone, I was turned away! I pointed to various tables with two seats and was told rather abruptly "No, no table! Full!" Just plain greed, turning away a single diner in the hope of getting two or more. The very few times this has happened in the past in other places in the world, I always made it a point of principle that I will never go back EVER, as they don't deserve the business. I am now enjoying Sakura Sushi 5 minutes...
