After all, part of the magic lies in the rare luxury of enjoying that breathtaking ocean view in peaceful solitude :)

But to keep Farol Hotel’s The Mix restaurant all to myself would be a disservice to those who still appreciate life’s finer things: warm, old-school elegance in service, beautifully balanced flavors on the plate, and a setting that feels effortlessly cinematic.

The food? Delicious without shouting for attention. The ambiance? Dramatic in the best possible way—think waves crashing, ocean air swirling, and a front-row seat to the Atlantic’s ever-changing performance.

O wow. We were looking for quiet lounge and we started walking down Caiscais when we saw this palace- a boutique hotel looking place- and saw they appeared to have a restaurant inside. This is a hidden gem! An amazing restaurant with many amazing plates from duck to octopus and chateaubriand. But they have a separate sushi menu for sushi fans. Anyway, long story short. This is an amazing place to come. We came with our 1 year old baby on a stroller and he was in love with the staff and atmosphere. Don’t think twice about...

Great location... Great food... Very poor service. Arrived as a party of four and after nearly two hours we were still waiting for part of our order. The food was served in pieces, in a random incoherent sequence that makes eating together very difficult. In the end we just gave up and cancelled whatever was not sent through. If they plan to sell themselves as a "top of the list" eating establishment they seriously need invest in improving the core element of a restaurant: Service......
