Bar Madalena — Restaurant in Faro

We were a group of adult friends going there for drinks after dinner. It's a thursday night and the weather was nice so we wanted to stay outside. Since all the tables were taken, we decided to go inside to get the drinks while waiting for a seat. The bully bouncer grimaced and pointed at a table... I waited for some words... It turned out I couldn't go inside because I had a water bottle in my hand! I had to leave my opened bottle with this very pleasant guy outside. Decided not to risk it and my friends went inside and got drinks for everyone... several times! After 2 hours standing and getting several drinks, a table was available and we sat down... After 10 minutes we finished the last drinks... and were immediately asked if we wanted more (remember we had already been drinking for 2 hours waiting for this table). Since we were tired and just finished a glass, we said no... and were asked to leave: "because they had people waiting". I felt very unwelcome, the mood was not ok at all since the beginning. A couple of weeks ago I visited this place due to a friend's recommendation. Despite nice music and tasty cocktails, I faced a really strange service over there. I wanted to get the same cocktail as a girl beside me, so showed the bartender that I wanted the same Margarita. Meanwhile, the girl made a sip and noticed that there was no salt on the glass so she asked to fix it. And what the bartender did? He told her: "ok", and just gave her started cocktail to me. When I tried to complain, I received the answer:"you are friends so what is the problem?" And the problem is not that we just got acquainted, but the attitude (he also asked to pay for both drinks). All in all, I truly believe that a nicely rated bar should not serve the drinks already drunk by somebody else, which is not only anti hygienic,...

I’m writing to express my disappointment regarding an unpleasant experience we recently had at your venue.

When we approached the bar to order a drink, we were informed that it wasn’t possible. We then left briefly to visit another club and returned shortly after – only to be escorted out by your staff.

At no point were we intoxicated or disrespectful. On the contrary, we remained polite and composed throughout. Despite this, your staff reacted in an unnecessarily aggressive and unprofessional manner.

We believe this kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and not in line with the standards one would expect from your establishment. I kindly ask that you investigate this matter and ensure that such treatment of guests is...
