We had a lovely evening at this place. Great ambience and attentive service. As for the food itself, it was very good overall, with a few notes.
Tomato Bruschetta: delicious and nice texture. Could be a bigger portion for the price.
San Daniele Prosciutto Bruschetta: the star of the night. It's elevated even more with a bottle of Esporão Reserva. Again, the portion could be bigger for the price but honestly, don't go without trying it. It's that good.
San Daniele Burrata: way too much arugula and not enough tomatoes, pesto, or bread (there were two tiny tomatoes and one slice of bread cut in 6-8 1x2cm bits, swimming in a huge plate of arugula). Flavors were good, but definitely not worth the price.
Veal Loin (with mustard sauce): Delicious flavor profile, but again the portions were a bit unbalanced. A lot of risotto for a small loin. The risotto itself had almost no asparagus (2-3 small heads for the whole plate), so it could do better if there was less rice and more asparagus, but it was topped with a surprise of some kind of crispy dried prosciutto(?) that really elevated the dish. The mustard sauce tasted nice but was way too watery.
Courgette and Mushrooms Cannelloni: This is not worth it. Sure, it tasted alright, but it's just not a balanced dish. It's simply laminated courgette rolled with a bit of mushroom inside and tomato sauce. The waiter didn't ask if we wanted a side for it, so we assumed it would be a complete dish (especially considering it's in the "Pasta" section of the menu - there's no pasta). It's not. If you order it, make sure to order a side or two as well. We ended up asking for a cheese pizza to make up for it being less filling than a side salad. A suggestion would be to add some other element to the dish, or demote it to a starter.
Four Cheeses Pizza: The dough is fluffy yet crispy, great texture. The toppings were a bit salty (due to the selection of cheeses), it definitely needed some type of fresh/creamy unsalted cheese to balance the flavor. Since this is such a particular problem, we believe that the other pizzas wouldn't have it.
Chocolate Mousse: Delicious, creamy, airy, good portion. Most restaurants get skimpy and overlook the desserts, making you leave with a bad aftertaste. Not this one!
Panacotta: Amazing. Super creamy yet firm. Super fresh with the ginger, lemon, and cardamom, which perfectly balance out the sweetness and tartness of the raspberry coulis. Another must-have!
All and all, we will definitely be back for more to repeat the dishes we fell in love with this visit, and try some of the other appetizing dishes that they have in their menu....
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Forno Nero, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. This restaurant exudes a quiet and elegant ambiance, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal.

Now, let's talk about the food. The pizza at was simply outstanding. The crust was thin, crispy, and perfectly baked, while the toppings were fresh and flavorful. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness, and I couldn't help but appreciate the culinary expertise that went into creating such a...
Read moreThis place was good, the atmosphere was cozy, smart casual. I had the Algarvia (Burrata cheese, rocket salad, dried figs, toasted almonds, ciabatta bread, orange and honey vinaigrette), tasted really good. We would have enjoyed if it came with bread, but it did not. Then for the main course, I had the Cheese and pear fiocchi (Stuffed pasta with cheese and pear, cream sauce with walnuts, rocket salad and parmesan cheese), this dish was so fascinating as the components went really well together, plus the size of the dish was on the larger side - altogether really good. The reason why this place doesn't get five stars, is because it felt like we were forgotten a bit, we had to wave down the waiters a few times to get noticed, and receive refills on our drinks. We even wanted dessert, but were not bothered to wait to get noticed for this... Other than that, this place is a visit worthwhile. Good, but not...
