100 Montaditos Funchal — Restaurant in Funchal

This is my first 1 star review, but it has to be: This is the most terrible food, we had in years and we are far from being picky. I rarely use the word but we both found it disgusting, haha, sorry. Of course what they call tapas are no tapas at all, but even if you just look for fast food it is hard to imagine anyone can be satisfied here. I mean, honestly, I eat everything in general, but not a single item in this place was good enough to finish it and we tried 9 different pieces. Cheapest level of ingredients: bread, sausages, olives, sauces, plastic spray can "cheese" and fries worst than Mc Donald's. Besides the quite ok salad for a fast food place, taste of the food was abnormal and we had to leave half of the dishes on the table. Safe to say that Mc Donald's is first class food compared to what they serve here.. Staff was nice. Ambiance is all right for a fast food place. (Couple, mid 30s, used to fast...

Never order any other sandwiches than the basic 1€ ones. Otherwise you’ll end up paying more but will get the basic ones anyways.

The sandwiches are good, but you simply never get what you ordered. We’ve been here twice, and both times most of the sandwiches we got were different from what we ordered and paid for were (conveniently, they always give you the cheaper sandwich). Other sandwiches more or less corresponded to what we asked, but we’re missing some ingredients.

We checked the receipt both times and everything was correct there, so they deliberately mess it up in the kitchen.

Also, potato croquettes that we got the second time were still...

Had no idea that this chain had spread beyond Spain...we jokingly call it Spanish Spoons. Really great value. Just left a locals bar .... so local Google do not recognise it and it has no obvious name. This is just as cheap. 2€ for big beer and same for the Rose wine. Younger crowd. Food generally 1 = 2€. A caesar salad 4€. Hot dog 1.3€ etc. ...next day....7€ for a pint, wine and four butties. Pick food off the menu by number. Tell the bar staff. They give you a pager. When food ready it......
