What a warm welcoming to Madeira! We just arrived and were on the way to explore the city when spotted this little bar.

We ordered classic sandwich of Madeira! Bolo do taco. It was just wonderful! Fresh, hot, crispy. Wonderful taste and combination of ingredients.

The lady that works here is very warm and welcoming, speaks good English, ready to help to choose.

We had one pastel de nata, which was very delicious too. And finished our unexpected lunch with espresso which was JUST PERFECT (my husband is Italian, good espresso is essential thing).

We were staying in a nearby hotel and discovered this hidden gem by accident. Don’t get scared off by how it looks on the outside: in the inside it’s cosy, the food is delicious and freshly made.
