Mini Eco Bar — Restaurant in Funchal

A cosy, ultra creative and stylish little bar. It's perhaps the best description I can come up with. I have known this place for years, and it still amazes me every single time I go back. You can sit on bathtub-made chairs, with tables out of washing machine tumblers and if all fits so perfectly well, that you simply ease up to the decor of the space so easily and feel great sitting there. The bar has a house favourite - Tanqueray - so if you're into gins, I suggest you give this one a try, as there are 3 different types of Tanqueray there. The service is friendly, efficient...

Horrible experience at night, but we said “ok never mind let’s just move on”. The morning after, this very rude owner just decided to sit (!) at the road (when the bar was closed, not a single customer) and didnt let me and my wife take our luggage from the hotel. I tried to tell him that my wife is disabled and can’t take the luggage by herself, but he was just looking at his phone.

You don’t want to be a customer at these...

Lovely little place in Funchal. Came there just before the opening, so I didn't manage to catch the vibe of the place when it was open, but I met the lovely guy running the bar that night. We had a lovely chat and learned more about Madeira than anywhere else on the island. He gave us lots of good info. Will return to catch a drink there when I am next time in...
