Restaurante Tangerina — Restaurant in Funchal

From the moment me and my boyfriend arrived the lady was grumpy and acted like she didn't want to have the trouble of serving us. When I asked what the fish soup had in it, she gave me a smile like I was ignorant and said it was soup with fish like in the name and was like every other fish soup. It happens that I ordered it and never in my life I saw a fish soup with carrots. This one was pureed with lots of olive oil, it had so much fish skin with just fat in it. The fish was hard to chew and it had lots of fish bones. My boyfriend ordered some humble portuguese soup (açorda Regional) and also asked what it had in it since it was Regional and we are from Portugal and know what a typical Açorda is and the answer was "it's Açorda". It was mostly bread and water with 50% olive oil. The only thing about this place that I can say was good, was the sympathy of the chef and that the food was made super fast. The restaurant on a Monday had just one person there, eating. Now I understand why. My apologies, maybe the other plates are good but those two were awful. I didn't order any appetizers since the options were just 4 (olives with cheese, normal salad, tuna salad and chrimp cocktail). Fuimos por fin de año debido a que los demás restaurantes turísticos cercanos al centro estaban llenos y no tenían sitio.
