We came here first for a late breakfast. The restaurant is situated next to a busy road, so if you sit outside there will be a lot of traffic passing you. Coffee was mediocre - the almond milk used as a milk alternative was not very suitable to foaming and didn’t hit the spot. I tried a cows milk version to be sure and that wasn’t good as well. All the food items that we ordered were very well made and tasted delicious. The eggs Benedict came with real bacon and the salmon eggs were also very tasty. The French toast was fluffy and moist and was paired with canned peaches and mascarpone, which made for a lovely topping. The waffle with red fruits and mascarpone was similarly tasty. Two of the strawberry pieces were a bit mushy - apart from that everything was very good. If you are looking for solidly executed food and are also willing to spend way above what you would spend on local fare this is a good place to go to. Just don’t come for good coffee.
On a second visit we came on what seemed to be a busy morning. There were two staff trying to attend to all the customers, which turned out to be a bit more than they could handle. We sat down outside and were completely overlooked until I went inside to ask for a menu. Every single part of ordering took quite a while - receiving a menu, taking our drinks order, coming back with the drinks, taking our food order…so much, that in the end we wound up leaving 45 minutes into our visit after finishing our drinks. I understand the limitations that arise from training new staff. I just wish I could have had a tasty breakfast today, which unfortunately wasn’t possible since we had only an hour to spare.
On a third visit service was much faster since there were almost no customers. The food was good, but the coffee...
Read moreWe visited this delightful eatery yesterday and so pleased that we did. Great atmosphere and wonderful service from Nuno (?spelling). I had the porridge oats bowl and my husband the Croissant Suggestion (that was two croissants with mushrooms and scrambled eggs that day) both of which were freshly cooked and delicious. The coffee was excellent as well. And all for a very reasonable price. We shall definitely visit again. Thank you!

Our last day in Madeira and we just had to come back again. Sam looked after us very well. Food was amazing and very good value. I had the Eggs Benedict and my husband the Croissant Suggestion. We decided that this place was our BEST discovery on this trip to Madeira and we shall definitely visit again on our return next year. For a proper breakfast, this is easily the best place to eat.

On our return visit to Madeira we were determined to come back to this little place and we introduced friends to it as well. The variety on the menu is excellent and the food was very well presented and cooked to perfection. It is also freshly prepared so worth waiting for and excellent value. We never have breakfast in our hotel as it is at least 3 times the cost and nowhere near as good. The guys are really friendly as well. Definitely worth a daily visit for breakfast ......but it is...
Read morePretty good! But not great. We got a liter of sangria, a trap burger, extra fries, a green smoothie (which comes in a bowl) and a salmon poke. Great prices if you want something light/on the healthier side and more of a traditional western brunch. They have a lot of great options on the menu, and our bill came out to about 50 euros (they only took cash).
The staff is nice, but burger was a bit meh. Bread was a little tough. Sangria was yummy. Poke was good too, and looked really good, but it wasn’t something to write home about—it was missing avocado even though it said that was in it in the menu.
Giving 3 stars bc it’s a place I would suggest for an affordable healthy option if you don’t want to spend 25 euros on one dish, but not a place I would highly recommend...
