Pizzolino — Restaurant in Lagos

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pizzolino, and I can't praise the experience enough. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The manager, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, greeting us with a warm smile and checking in throughout the meal to make sure everything was perfect.

What truly stood out was how fantastic the team was with our children. They were so attentive, making sure the kids were happy and entertained, which allowed us to relax and enjoy our meal. The waitstaff were not only friendly but also exceptionally patient, offering great recommendations and ensuring that the entire family had a delightful experience.

As for the food, it was simply outstanding. The pizza was perfectly cooked with a deliciously crispy crust and fresh toppings. The pasta dishes were equally impressive, with rich, flavourful sauces. Every bite was a testament to the quality and care that goes into their cooking.

The prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. It’s rare to find a place where you feel you’re getting such great value.

Aufgrund zahlreicher super Bewertungen für die Sangria im PIZZOLINO und Lust auf Pizza haben wir uns auf den Weg in diese, auf den ersten Blick nicht wirklich anheimelnde, Location gemacht.

Und wie es oft so ist: kleine, unscheinbare Restaurants mit 0 ChiChi, die aber durch Liebe zu ihrem Handwerk und mit ihrer Gastfreundschaft bestechen und 5 Sterne Restaurants blass aussehen lassen. Zumindest für uns.

Schon beim Hereinkommen fühlten wir uns als wären wir Stammgäste hier und dass nur durch das Lächeln & die Begrüßung.

Natürlich gleich die Sangria bestellt und die sticht tatsächlich jede weitere in Lagos getrunkene um Längen aus. Üppig an vielerlei Frucht mit Beeren und echten Zimtstangen perlt die Geschmacksexplosion auf der Zunge. Das vergesse ich nie wieder.

Die Pizzen kann man sich hier per Zettel zum Ankreuzen mit 5 Wunschzutaten selbst zusammenstellen (10,00 Euro) oder eben die Auswahl (reichlich) von der Karte nehmen.

Wir hatten Veggie zusammengestellt mit frischen Pilzen, Artischocken, rote Zwiebeln, Knoblauch und Oliven. Ein Traum!

Der Teig dünn & nicht zu knusprig, gut schneidbar, der Belag ordentlich, der Geschmack super! Eine perfekte Pizza - vielen Dank!

Der Bauernsalat mit Feta sehr liebevoll angerichtet, das Dressing dazu ganz herrlich schmackhaft.

Der Koch (oder Pizzabäcker) kommt vorbei und fragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Der Chef fragt, ob mir kalt ist und er ein Fenster schließen soll...

Ein Kind bekommt eine Süßigkeit zugesteckt.

Und immer wieder ein Lächeln von den beiden, zwischendurch kommen andere Gäste, alle hier bekannt wie wir feststellen und wir gehören praktisch dazu - zu dieser Familie, deren Betreiber das Ganze seit nunmehr 20 Jahren mit Liebe und dem Herz am rechten Fleck täglich anbietet.

I'm curious to understand what kind of pizza my Italian friends eat in Italy.. I read a lot of reviews saying: this is the best pizza ever outside of Italy, etc. The pizza dough was very thin and tasted nothing like pizza. The toppings, yes there were many, but they are not blended and therefore do not give the pizza a taste.
