We found this place on a night when almost everything else was either closed or fully booked, and I’m so glad we did. Really one of the best in Lisbon!

The owner and staff are very friendly and will make sure everything is as pleased. The food is sublime and not at all expensive for its quality and presentation. We ate the duck breast fillet and the vegetarian croquettes and both were delicious. The wine selection is also outstanding, I drank one of the best chardonnays of my life here, without exaggerating.

Please do not go there. We ended up there because we were tired and had eaten at others nearby the Holiday Inn Express. BLAND! My friend had Cod on top of mush with an egg. Blah looking and tasteless. 24 euros. He didn’t eat even half and the server said nada. I saw the writing in the wall when I spotted a close table with hack-inducing dry salmon. Completely by chance, driven by hunger, I wandered in for lunch and found myself on a sunlit terrace in a quiet alley in the very heart of Lisbon. My intuition didn’t fail me – the choice turned out to be excellent!

The chef, upon learning that I don’t eat dishes with garlic, prepared a wonderfully delicious hot dish for me, replacing the garlic-marinated fish with the freshest grilled prawns.
