LX Rooftop — Restaurant in Lisbon

We got mostly in the shade on a warm June day and the cocktails were fine when they came. Great to have a view. A pity that they cheated with the bill, assuring me it was in Euros but secretly charging it in Pounds at an awful exchange rate plus a 4% 'Mark-up'. It was one of only two places which conned us like that in our week in Lisbon. When I looked carefully at the payment receipt later I found it lied, saying "I have ... chosen to accept DCC and pay in GBP at the exchange rate provided by SIBS". No way! Pretty low grade behaviour. Pay them with extreme caution, maybe with Euro notes...

Very unfriendly and rude stuff. We wanted to enter the place around 7pm on Friday. We waited for around 5 mins on the stairs to be allowed to come in. Although there were plenty free places, waiters just had fun, danced and did not allow us to enter. In the end the guy finally told that they are going to close the place soon (7pm Friday!!!) and we can’t sit there. 🫤

The waiter told us it was closed at 9 on a Friday. It was clearly open, people were hanging out, bartenders were making drinks. Staff is clearly and openly racist or something. Definitely denied purely based on looks. Never seen anyone be so open about it like that before. To be clear, it was OPEN.
