Borogodó — Restaurant in Lisbon

Nice place, but we had a not so comfortable experience. We sat at the table and the waiter took orders. We got water bottles, then we waited for almost half an hour and made multiple requests to get glasses to drink it from. We were unlucky enough to sit outside while the so long wait got worse due to a sudden storm. Soon, we got covered in water pouring from all sides, with unpleasant smell. The waiters weren't supportive at all and when after almost 1h the food was finally ready we got pressured into eating our meals while standing and with riddles of water flowing though our feet. Table cloths and our drinks got covered by brown, smelly rain. People in the nearby table offered us to move to their table that was definitely not soaking wet as ours, and we had to get along with it without the minimal support of the staff. We ate everything fast, and we asked to get separate receipts as we were supposed to have a casual, fun, quick lunch break that could've been refunded if we had a physical receipt. We asked multiple times to get separate bills where food items were visible, but they just babbled words and did a single physical copy, definitely not...

Ordered codfish and octopus, which were 20 euros each and both uneatable. The codfish was extremely salty and like gum, i.e. impossible to chew, the octopus was uncooked, tasteless and like rubber. When we told the waitress, she seemed like this is not the first time it happens, since her first questions were whether there is too much salt, as if she would know the situation. We barely touched our food and the waitresses said they understand, but when it came to payment and we asked for at least a little discount for the food we could not eat, they said its not their problem. It is sad when a customer service industry representatives display that customer satisfaction is not...

Had brunch there this weekend and it was SO disappointing. The pancakes were ok. But the eggs! Or EGG rather. 12€ and they give you a single fried egg, low quality supermarket sliced bread, some “caramelized” onions thrown in top and half an avocado that was partly brown. Honestly we would have been better off eating at home. And they claim their payment terminal is temporarily out of order which is 100% not true, they just don’t want to accept cards, which is an added inconvenience. I will say the service was good and they were very kind to our pups bringing them a giant bien of water. But definitely not worth it, and definitely will...
