I came as part of a group. We were 42 people, and they served us a wonderful lunch in only two hours! We shared lovely starters, garden salad with orange and walnuts, octopus salad, and very good garlic prawns! The choices for the main course were fried fish, the batter was so light... better than any fish & chips in the UK. It came with Clam rice... I must confessed that if they only serve me a large portion of that rice, I would leave a very happy man. For the vegetarians, a very inventive mushroom a la Bras... following the fashion of cod a la bras... moist and tasty and satisfying. The best was the Steak Portuguese style. It was a high cut of beef filet served with a lovely jus and home fries. Maybe mine was a little overdone, but I never told them to cook it rare.... they did wonders as they served some 26 steaks. Dessert was a real surprise. A Portuguese apple tart with so much cinnamon that reminds us that Portugal introduced us to all the oriental spices. BRAVO! Besides the food, there were other highlights: the huge window overlooking the Tagus and the 25th of April Bridge. The Portuguese Golden Gate, and the perfect service delivered by chef waiter Antonia and restaurant floor manager Diamantina... indeed a real diamond! Can't wait to go back!

An end of a beautiful trip with a dinner at Five Oceans. Their customer service is simply phenomenal! From the hostess/front manager to our server and the food delivery guy. I cannot say enough good things about our experience! Amazing! The front manager seated us promptly, was courteous and friendly, checked on us regularly. Our server read our minds and was just wonderful. I wasn't impressed with the food as we had some better experiences in Portugal but coupled with the phenomenal service I would absolutely recommend this place. We had the sardines (caution- not cleaned, so you get the guts and bones too), octopus salad (ok), calamari with olive oil and garlic (delicious), beef steak (good), mussels (ok), monkfish (really good). Try the vino Verde- very good choice! They called a cab for us in the end and just made the whole experience so enjoyable, I cannot say enough good things! ❤️

I hate to even reduce one star. I paid about 56euros for myself and I definitely expected a better service. (The servers were friendly, but with only 3 tables they seemed quite slow) I ordered a clam as appetizer, it's not bad however I felt it's a bit overpriced given clam is really cheap seafood and the taste isn't special. (I had quite a few seafood in portugual by now, comparably this just doesn't cut it comparing to the previous places) The bacalhau though presently nicely, the fish came not very warm (I don't know if it's by design) with the vegetable oil and saltiness it became quite hard to finish. (I only managed to eat half of it) Overall, it's a alright dining place near the water front. If you are a foodie like me and are looking for a wow factor it's not there. Just follow antheory Bourdains restaurants will give you better average experience

Lively seafood restaurant in the old warehouses next to the marina overlooking the water under the Ponte 25 de Abril. The quality of the fish and seafood is excellent and the way it is prepared on the grill is very tasty. At the fish counter you can choose directly what you want to eat. The cellars are knowledgeable - both in fish and wine recommendations and very eager. As outstanding as the fish, seafood and meat quality is, the more unfortunate that the side dishes are rather uninspiring and bland. Hence the deductions in the rating. The ambience of the location is very nice, but the background noise of the Ponte 25 de Abril makes it very restless and noisy. For the culinary experience to recommend, priced rather upper with about 70€ per person with appetizer, main course and dessert.

Not impressed. Not very flavorful. I ordered the Portugal style steak - they sure cook it really rare. If you order medium, you will not get it overcooked at all.. unlike the norm in America where the steaks are always overcooked in restaurants. Its very greasy like a whole plate of melted butter on the bottom like soup.. but thats the Portuguese style. Um what did i not like about it…. Well.. once again, just lacked flavor. Octopus entree - octopus was tender but lacked flavor. Did not like the potatoes. Really liked the broccoli with the olive oil. the crab soup - not good. Practical no crab. Regret ordering. And fish soup - 2/10 Service was 10/10!!! Thats why I am giving them 3 stars instead of 1.. but probably will not go back.

We had the bacalao Portugese style and the clam shells with cilantro. The first dish was a main an really good. Good flavours, fresh and good portion, price quality definitely okay! The clams shells tasted really good but it were only the shells while it stood under “salad” on the menu. Still okay but then the price was quite high in my opinion for just a salad on the menu compared with a main course. Service was fast not to kind and the thing is that I don’t always care about the service as long as the food is great and as long as everyone is treated the same. Which was not the case here. Some waiters go on the look and appearance and I think that is a shame.
