My family and I visited this restaurant yesterday evening, and unfortunately, what should have been an enjoyable meal turned into a frustrating experience marked by poor service practices and subpar food quality.
The evening started on the wrong foot when staff automatically served us a 0.75L bottle of regular water without our request or consent. We were shocked to discover an €11.50 charge for this unrequested water on our final bill - a practice that feels deceptive and unprofessional. While the waitstaff maintained friendly smiles throughout the evening, their attentiveness left much to be desired.
The food quality was deeply disappointing. I ordered a medium-well steak for nearly €30, expecting a properly cooked and well-presented dish. Instead, I received what can only be described as a raw steak - completely uncooked in the middle and unsafe to eat - served on a plain plate with absolutely no garnish, sauce, or presentation whatsoever. For almost thirty euros, this was nothing more than a poorly cooked piece of meat with zero effort put into plating or accompaniments. The octopus dish was equally problematic, arriving with the texture of rubber. It was so tough and chewy that it was virtually inedible, suggesting either poor preparation or inferior quality ingredients.
The restaurant's only saving grace is its waterfront location with beautiful views and pleasant background music that creates a nice ambiance. However, a restaurant ultimately succeeds or fails based on its food quality and service standards, and this establishment falls short on both counts.
The combination of unauthorized charges, dangerously undercooked food, lazy presentation, and inattentive service makes this place impossible to enjoy despite the lovely setting. I would strongly advise against dining here and recommend looking elsewhere...
Read moreWe visited Doca 6 at the harbor in Lisbon and had one of the worst dining experiences ever. From the very start, the communication was unclear – almost certainly on purpose. Water, bread, and butter we never ordered were placed on our table without asking. In the end, every single one of those items appeared on the bill – with bread at €6, butter at €6, and water at an outrageous €11.50.
After placing our order, we waited around 45 minutes for the food to arrive – despite the fact that there was only one other table occupied in the entire restaurant. The so-called “Filet Mignon” – priced at an eye-watering €42.50 – could have easily passed for a piece of shoe leather: overcooked, tough, and completely lacking in flavor.
The real insult came when the dishes finally arrived: three people at our table received their meals, and the fourth was simply told that their grilled tuna “could not be served.” No apology, no alternative – just a shrug. That person then had to wait another 20 minutes for their newly ordered dish to arrive.
The rest of the food was no better: poorly prepared, some dishes cold, and nothing remotely worth the cost. For the amount they charged here, you could enjoy a full multi-course meal of top quality elsewhere in Lisbon. Here, all you get is a blatant tourist-trap scam.
This had nothing to do with hospitality – it felt like a well-rehearsed scheme to squeeze as much money as possible out of unsuspecting visitors.
Bottom line: Bad food, absurd prices, dishonest practices, and completely incompetent service. Save yourself the frustration and stay far away...
Read moreWorst experience we have ever had during our stay in Portugal Lisbon. We had a catamaran trip and then we were very hungry after it so we decided to check out that restaurant. we were greeted by the manager who told us that it is a matter of few minutes and they can seat us on a table outside . We waited for almost half an hour inside with nobody taking care of us then they started to serve bread on the table that we were sitting at inside. Looks like there was no communication between the manager and the waitress about seating plan . after spending about 45 minutes of waiting , they decided to take our orders and seated us outside . We wanted to order risotto with shrimp and we were told that they are out of it, and the waitress started taking the next order on the table!!! What !!! Waitresses were panicking. Everything was going out of wake . You can sense the panic between waiters . you can feel the inexperience, and the extreme language barrier that does not allow them to communicate with English-speaking tourists . After that we decided to pay for the drinks and appetizers and leave , couldn’t order main dishes ! Definitely a NO to...
