Yeh I know where this is this street is called sap José it changes names at the inter section from Santa Marta to São José This funicular is a great Healy to go up after a long walking day I think it closes at 10 pm This finish. Takes you up to some nice hotels and medical university and not far also hospital and to some view points and actually once you are up there you can go down to Martim Moniz . But at the funi boot I’m starting locations there are nice restaurants And liberdade is just the street parallel to São José . Price for using this round trip is about 3 euros , but if you have the monthly green card like I do it cost me 36 euros per month for every transport Merto...

The operator was extremely rude to me. I walked in, and he didn't say anything. Then, when I sat down, he yelled at me to pay and was extremely rude. I said I'm a tourist, and I apologize for not knowing what to do. He went on and on arguing with me, calling me rude. Then he sat on his phone and made us wait 10 minutes before taking off. I was speaking Portuguese from Brasil, and they are extremely prejudiced against Brasilian women. I guarantee that if I was a man, I would've been treated...

If you wanna experience riding in a Lisbon “funicular” but don’t want the hassle of queuing or riding for an hour then this is the funicular for you . You can use your navegante travel card to board and the journey lasts no more then 2-3mins . I recommend starting from the bottom of the street and travelling up to the top and then you get to walk down through the colourful graffiti covered buildings on the stairway adjacent to...

Handy for getting up a steep hill. Buy a 1 day or 7 colinas Viva Viagem card(valid for a year) from the metro stations because these include the buses trams & funiculars, lifts and metro at the lowest cost, €6.80 for a 1 day card. 15 minutes wait between trips so we walked back down the hill. The funicular is €4.50 standard fare
