O Apeadeiro — Restaurant in Lisbon

For foreigners who may be visiting Lisbon, I can highly recommend this restaurant. I have been here three times for dinner and lunch and each time the food and service have been excellent, while the prices are extremely inexpensive for LIsbon. The Apeadeiro is a popular Portuguese traditional restaurant in Campo Pequeno, one of the important commercial areas of Lisbon, and it is rare to find such an outstanding restaurant with prices this low in this area. Our server was very welcoming, kindly ushering us in and seating us a few my minutes ahead of their official opening time. He was helpful with explaining the menu offerings in English and remained attentive throughout the meal l, offering friendly conversation that made us feel very comfortable. We felt more like welcome guests in someone's home than diners in a restaurant. Lovely place, central location but quiet quarter; not big but everyone gets their space; house wines both bottled and jarred were delicious; the food, especially sea food, obviously very fresh and cooked simply like home cuisine but perfectly (I went there for several dinners: steak, cod, shrimps, all were great).
